Ok what is the best way for me to go about looking to see if I have an intake leak.? Every time I turn the engine off I hear a high pitch whining noise almost like a turbo winding down. I would take it to the dealership but it is a pain for me to do this and I dont want to do it if there is not a prob.

I doubt you have an intake leak..Usually when an intake is leaking, you would get a check engine light, or/and poor idle quality and drivability..If you want to check, the most common and easiest way is to either use water or some techs use carb clean (in spray can) and spray around the intake..You will notice a change in the way the engine runs if you find a leak, ie: runs better or worse..I am thinking what you are hearing is normal...Some times the freon in the A/C can make noise when the pressures are "equilizing" after everything is shut off..Or I dont know if it was Titans also, but I think altima's that made that noise and Nissan said (may even have a bullitien) that the alternator was the culprit..Nissan said this was normal for the alternator to make some noise after shut off..Hope this helps..
Yes that does help redright9. I was actually thinking that is was an ac thing because I had the purge valve tsb done about a month ago (ticking) and it is back at it again, but I will feel better if I know for sure. Anyway thanks for the quick reply.
