: stain remover...
BigIslandTitan 06-17-2007, 12:25 AM heres the story.....well one of my cousins girlfriend had an unfortunate "womanly" accident in the back seat of my titan. i tried to remove it as fast as i could because it was sitting on my seat overnight. nothing was workin, stain remover. peroxide got out the red, but the stain remover actually left a stain. more like a ring. any suggestions on how to remove?
Tricky-Dick 06-17-2007, 12:32 AM Treat it like you would if you had a cut...blood stains come out by using cold water.
If I was going to try anything else it would be Seagrams Soda.
GraviTitan 06-17-2007, 01:17 AM Kids and Pets. You can get it at Target. It works very well. I have gotten stains out of my truck that have been there for years with this stuff. It's pretty cheap too. it is almost as thin as water and comes in a plastic bottle with like a sport drink cap.
Shiftyb 06-17-2007, 01:21 AM That is probably the grossest thing I've read about on Clubtitan.
*shiver*
Yuck!

You and me both! I was almost afraid to give an opinion so I prefaced it with another example!
:angst-big:
roflmao... was thinking the same thing. You could have just asked how to get blood out of titan seat fabric... but then we'd all think you wacked someone. So you seemed forced to give us a brief explanation.... ROFL.... U guys freeking kill me.
Shiftyb 06-17-2007, 09:30 AM THis thread stinks........
plm7878 06-17-2007, 10:42 AM Go to the Dollar General and get this stuff it's called Awesome... It works
JJBlue 06-17-2007, 10:51 AM I have stain remover stains on my seats also. But it's from trying to remove leaks from my daughter's sippy cup (filled with water) has anyone else got stains from just water? Makes me think the Titan seats really suck!
Silvertitan7 06-17-2007, 11:27 AM Ya these seats stain like crazy!! I still am looking for something that will remove stains.
plm7878 06-17-2007, 11:29 AM Try that stuff called Awesome.. When I go out in the boat my seats get wet and that stuff cleans it like new...

Yeah I have just water stains on my seats. It leaves big rings need to get them out it looks pretty bad.
jsethmor 07-07-2007, 10:29 PM And if none of these suggestions work, I think this would. But please test it out someplace inconspicous first. My oldest daughter spilled fingernail polish onto a tan carpet in our house and I tried several things to get the dried fingernail polish out and nothing worked, EXCEPT. BRAKE CLEANER, the kind you use to spray off rotors and brake parts. It DID NOT remove any color out of the carpet and was 99% effective in removing the dried stain out. It works almost instantly as well. But then dab out any excess liquid asap.

But it's from trying to remove leaks from my daughter's sippy cup (filled with water) has anyone else got stains from just water? Makes me think the Titan seats really suck!I would have to say that these seats are the worst I have seen. There is no way to keep them looking decent.I picked my kids up from the swimming pool the other day and they were alittle damp and you wouldn't believe what my seats looked like.No excuse for it.
RedTitanLE 07-08-2007, 01:20 AM YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time for a new seat cover....
Here's another vote for Awesome. We have Persian rugs that are handwoven and colored with natural dyes, and that stuff is gentle yet effective. I swear by it!
BuenasNalgas 07-08-2007, 03:53 PM The best stuff I have ever come across is called "Zout" you should be able to pick it up at your local supermarket. It has gotten spilled Red Wine out of a white couch and is great for removing blood.................
DawgBone 07-08-2007, 03:57 PM I just had to tell my wife about this one - LOL. She told me to suggest hydrogen peroxide as it is supposed to break down blood. I guess a woman would know...
BigIslandTitan 07-09-2007, 10:10 PM yeah the peroxide worked good, its the damn 409 stain remover that made it worse. now i have a big ring. ahhhh das ok......probably might jus order a set of wet okoles...hahaha!

Wiskers 07-10-2007, 02:31 PM I'm surprised nobody's asked if that lady has even offered to pay for the damages. Time for leather seats my friend........
lincey 07-10-2007, 02:42 PM I think it might be time to trade in for another titan
DawgBone 07-10-2007, 02:54 PM I think it might be time to trade in for another titan

Qaher 07-14-2007, 10:51 AM just burn the seat, and if does not work, then burn the truck......lol
DF6_Titan 07-14-2007, 11:32 AM Man thats nasty, get some new seat covers or well............ just put red spots all over the interior to make it all match j/k. :)
Medicineman 07-14-2007, 11:53 AM Blood stains are rough. Perxoide may help, but it may also "bleach-out" the fabric. You could also try a solution of meat tenderizer and distilled water. Blot on (don't rub) and wet vac it out, a handheld bissell/ spot bot will do the job . From the commercial product end, I would recommend Spot-Shot. Check almost any cleaning aisle. Blue can/orange cap. Works great on floor mats and carpet w/o bleaching out the color. Last thing to check is the foam under the cloth, if anything soaked thru, the stain will reappear. Clean that area also or cover it w/ some vinyl/plastic sheeting to prevent reappearring stains. Good Luck.
RRsalesman 07-14-2007, 04:45 PM Um... why are you trying to get the stain out.... seems to me ol' cousin and friend need to get a scrubbin!!!
