A lurker is one who lurks in a forum and doesn't post. Once you get to 25 posts you get to be a SHIFT_newbie at 50 you become SHIFT_enthusiast.

Okay, I hear ya! Some of us do have to work for a living, sad though it may be. Even though I work with computers every day, it doesn't mean that I rush home and pound the keyboard some more. So what games do you play sounds like you might be into first person shooters like myself. I used to run a Counter Strike clan. I started playing back when Doom and Duke Nukem were the coolest thing around. Then Quake and all its offspring. Recently I have started playing Doom 3 and Pain Killer, I also like racing sims.

I too enjoy the FPS genre. Have done Doom, Quake, Red Faction and others in that ilk. Haven't gotten my hands on Doom3 yet, but will soon. Am playing Painkiller now. Have you played Far Cry yet? Best damned (oops!) graphics I have yet to see. BTW, what kind of rig do you run? I have an Athlon 64 with a Leadtek A380 (GeForce FX5950 Ultra 256 meg video) and sundry other goodies. Don't mind us; just a couple of geeks jawing who also drive Titans!

My gaming rig is Athlon XP 2000 I have the XFX Geforce FX 5900XT. Sound Blaster Audigy. 8x dvd burner 16x dvd rom. 60gig and an 80gig drive. Neon with custom case mods. I was doing Case mods back when it was first coming out. Like 6 yrs ago. I have a custom made Plexi case that houses a server (well it did not anymore) was water cooled. Quit doing that because I don't like keeping up with fluids. LOL I also have a IBM E server X series 345 with Pentium 4 dual Xeon processors. 1 gig ram 18 gig ultra 360 scsi drives. Used to use it as a web server and Counter Strike server. I havent fired it up in probably 3 months now. I was thinking of getting rid of it. Then there is my wifes computer. Similar to my gaming rig but with a Ati radeon 9700 pro. Then there is the Mail server I no longer use that ran Linux. And last but not least there is the one I will be puting in the Titan in a few months.
Oh yeh Dont know why I didn't mention Far Cry earlier. It is a really great looking game. Also very demanding of your hardware. It will bog down even the fastest systems when detail levels are cranked up.
we will have to get in some playing time together sometime.
