: New stuff from PRG
PrerunnerGreg 05-18-2005, 10:57 PM I thought I;d post a couple pics of the stuff Ive been working on lately. The coil-overs will be available by first thing next week. Contact me for pricing as im offering a great price to get these moving. They will be available for titans with subframe lifts (CST, Fabtech, Procomp, Rancho, etc) or for stock titans. The lift will be adjustable but recomemded around 2.5-3 for the 2wd and 2-2.5 for the 4wd. The upper a-arm is still the limiting factor in getting more height. But as you can see in the pics, a new upper arm will be available very soon, and that will allow around a 3-3.5 lift. The upper arm can be purchaced later as an upgrade to get a better ride and more height. The upper arm also corects the suspension geomerty a bit and the handleing is very good. It turns like stock even with 3.5" of lift. I must be honest though and say that 35" tires on aftermarket rims will still rub the rear of the fender liner a bit.
SMOKEDYA2 05-18-2005, 11:06 PM very nice setup with the coil overs. how do they feel and ride?
Nice stuff Greg
looks great man.

PrerunnerGreg 05-19-2005, 12:13 AM They ride a bit softer than the Off-road package but handle the big bumps really well. I think most people will love the ride, its actually plush, but it soaks the big hits right up. I gave a ride to a customer of mine today, and he wants a set now. I hope he can chime in and give his opinion. Im still trying to perfect the valving too, i think i can get it a bit better still.

Do you have any idea if there will be a version that will be a direct swap out with the OEM strut? In other words, better ride quallity like what those have, but not costing $600+. Maybe even just a replacement shock for the OEM assembly for those of us who are very happy with our PRG kits and do not need a true high performance off road setup. Time is not a factor yet, so just seeing what you have in mind over the next year or so.
TitanHauler 05-19-2005, 01:05 AM Very nice Greg! I can't wait to check it out on June 11th. I have been going through big air withdrawls since the season opener in March. Any chance you'll take a gentle lap around the track in the mighty Titan?
Is that a uniball setup on the CST upper arm? Just like the 7 and 8 inch lifts?
PeaceKeepr 05-19-2005, 08:14 AM So these coil overs will be an alternative to the spacers?
I have 2wd and am wanting to lift the front to level out the truck, would this be better/worse choice for doing that?
Oh yeah, What is the price for a set?
PrerunnerGreg 05-19-2005, 10:01 AM These shocks are not gonna be cheap by any maens, they will be around $950 plus shipping. They will bolt right in place of the stock shock assembly, they are not recomended to be used with any spacer kit either, as you will loose suspension travel. Im still waiting on the upper a-arm price from CST, so i dont want to say a price yet. I recently figured-out a way to use a longer bilstien shock as a stock replacement that will have adjustable ride height (from 0-3.5") but again any more than 2" on a 4x and 2.5" ona 2x may result in the upper a-arm contacting the coil-bucket more often. But if looks is what your after, this will get you the height you want. Keeping a modest ride height will result in an improved ride and more slightly more suspension travel than stock. This set-up should be well under $500 and will be a true performance upgrade. Look for this in about a month or so. I have a upgrade for the rear in the works also, i will be getting the prototypes today, installing them tomorrow. It will be a 1" rear spring upgrade that replaces the overload leaf and will give a more compliant ride and a slight lift. This will NOT give more load capacity, but should be an inexpensive upgrade to get a much improved ride when using a quality shock. My goal is to get this rear set-up tuned and ready for sale in the next week or so. I will also offer a few different shock options from inexpensive to race quality. Im very excited about these new products and not because im selling them but because im gonna be using them on my own truck.

...Thats a little confusing...
Also, would there be a diff color option? Like red instead of blue pieces?

$500 is closer to what I am thinking for replacing the front shocks so if that price sticks for long enough, I'll be saving my pennies!
I have also been thinking about the rear leaf springs recently. I have even gone as far as to look up pricing online for replacement OEM 4x4 w/BT leafs. I need to measure, but I think my leafs are losing their arch. Any idea on pricing for the rear leafs? Also, you said they won't increase load capacity, will they keep the same capacity or will the be lower?

I think he's talking $950 for the Fox shocks in the pics, and under $500 for the Bilstein replacement shocks. The price for the new CST A-arms are not determined yet, from what I gather.
Greg....thanks for all the hard work on all these suspension upgrades. This is what I've been waiting for!
