So does this stuff really work?? I washed my truck yesterday and the drying just took forever and i didn't have to do other things that were needed. So is it worth it?

I tried this stuff on my wifes maxima and did not like it. It felt like it left a sticky film on the car.

Or microfiber. That's all I use now...washing, drying, waxing. Ten times better then anything cotton.

basically, you squeegee the excess water off the truck, then use a microfiber for the finishing touch

The only thing that touches my truck is microfiber, great stuff.

I didn't care for mr clean and that was on my tiny civic.

I'm using jelly blade and the absorber when I do wash.

I bought the Mr. Clean Auto Dry when I first got my truck and have never washed it any other way, since. It works great, even in bright sunlight. The soap IS very sticky as someone had already mentioned and it makes your wash mitt or washcloth turn dark brown. It's been reported that their soap does a FAR better job at removing dirt, hence the reason for the excessively dirty rag. I personally think it's just because the soap is sticky but either way I really don't care because it does what it's supposed to do which is to dry spot free.

I think I remember VShortt telling me this is what he uses. I could be wrong though. His truck always looks nice and spotless though, so if he does use Mr. Clean AutoDry, it definitely does a good job.

Edit: Nevermind, I see he already posted. Hadn't gotten around to reading page 2 yet when I posted.

You need to use a little elbow greese to really get the dirt off..you can use just the spray like a car wash...but the scrubbing is what really does the trick.

I only get about 2 Wash's out a filter here in Galveston. i like the Mr Clean system. They said spot free not hands free, you still have to scrub if it needs it. Sometimes I won't even use the system soap but I will use the filtered rinse. Then the leaf blower under the hood and to get all the water out from behind the mirrors and nooks and crannies. I hate after I put all of that work into it and close the door and a big splash comes out of the mirror and down the side.
I am seriously thinking of getting a water softener and filter system just for the outside spigot used on the hose. He!! I think I'll add wax and sealer dispensers in the system and a station where i can spray that funky fake new car smell stuff.
Wait I just turned my house into a carwash.
NO LOUD MISIC OPERATOR CAN'T MAKE CHANGE NO FIGHTING ON PROPERTY .
Ok now I can open .

I have been thinking of putting JETDRY (for the dishwasher) in my Dial-n-sprayer for the yard just to see how it would work on the truck. I aint got round to it.

I love the auto dry but only on lighter dirt if it gets heavy i go to some of the products at Griots Garage. Their stuff is a little pricier but their microfiber is the absolute best and the car wash is second to non.

P.S. that is where i got my high speed polisher

I have been using Mr. Clean since I bought my 1st Titan. Use it both on the Titan & my wife's Altama. I can get 2 washes on the Titan and 2 on the Altama and then change the filter.

Not really. It's not like I wash it 4 times a week or something. I'm lucky these days if I can wash it once a month.

Hey, Nick. I can generally get about 3 washes out of a filter. Now, please understand that this system is in no way able to clean your car without a mitt or sponge. It's intended purpose is simply to dry spot free without drying....and it does.

i take the truck to mr.carwash.... however, i wash my wife's 350Z, and with a little bit of rubbing the soap with a mitt, and spraying the filtered water on it, it does good. so, i agree with V that you have to use some elbow grease to clean it properly.

I have had the MR. Clean since it came out, but do not care for the sticky feel it leaves.

I've gone back to using the Absorber (a man made chamios) and a microfiber towel. I use old bath towels for the really dirty stuff like drying wheels & door sills.

Do sometimes use the MR. Clean just for the rinse, seems to help with the spotting (well water here).

Also - for you MR. Clean owners - I've found it does a FABULIOUS job on the house windows !!!! I have a soft scrub brush on a pole, so no ladder work & the windows seem to stay clean pretty long + it takes way less time to do the job !!

I use Mcguires soft gel wash with a micro-mit, then drive 3 miles @ 65mph to wring out the water, then quick detailer on a damp micro towel followed by a dry micro towel. It leaves the paint spotless. Also good for follow up waxing. If it's really dirty I'll just go straight to clay after driving the 3 miles, then wax.. or polish & wax. That's my system (for what it's worth to anyone).

I found some great stuff from DuPont. It's called DuPont Teflon wash. It has Teflon in it that keeps the truck cleaner longer. At first i thought it was BS, but then I tried it and it works. It stayed pretty clean through two rain storms and was only dirty below the body side moldings.

Teflon is good stuff. Matter of fact anything by DuPont is. Didn't know they had it in a car wash but I knew they had it in wheel cleaners.

I know I dont post on here much, mostly a reader. I have tried alot of things, down in my area (NE North Carolina) the water is terrible it didnt just leave water spots over time a film developed from the hard water. When I bought the 07 CC I swore I would not let this happen so I invested in a water softener, which helped but still didn't do the job. Tried everthing mention on here, chamos, Mr. Clean, different soaps etc etc, drying worked but usually took 2 or 3 microfiber towels to do the job because once they get wet it just leaves streaks. So I went to Big Lots and purchased a 150 mph (roughly) electric blower (by Weed Eater) cost $10, just plug it in and 10 minutes later your done no spots or streaking. One thing though got to have a good coat of wax on so the water beads good. Just my 2 pennies worth.

I use it purely for it filter. Helps with hard water definitely. I basically use it as design but I still use microfiber to finish my truck up. It works great with engines though. That was the main reason why I bought it to keep under the hood looking good.

Have to try the leaf blower though....now thats an idea.
