jager2704 07-28-2007, 01:59 PM Who cares if German Chocolate Cake (GCC) is not at all German? :) It originally comes from Dallas, Texas, and its name comes from the sweet chocolate baking bar, close in character to milk chocolate, developed for Baker's Chocolate Co. in 1852 by Sam German. Here are several versions of cooking this extremely tasty cake. FYI LOL
Who would have thought it came from Texas, the things one learns while surfing the net.

WOW! That explains a lot! I went to Germany in '86, could not find Geman Chocolate Cake anywhere! I checked every restaurant I was in, for those 2 weeks. Oh well, had some great meals there anyway. :)
Glad I learned something today.

So um what time we going to meet in fayetville. I was just wondering. You know if you dont have room for the cakes. I will have a empty back seat just in case you need more storage for the cakes. LOL
TitanBlue 09-19-2007, 05:02 PM You guys are lucky I'm not going to be there. That food would come up missing, reaallllly quick! lol. :)
jager2704 09-20-2007, 08:44 PM I've come up with the perfect transportation mode for the GCC....Kronos will carry the cake, Galen will transport the icing, and I will secure the coconut topping! all items will be installed with lo jack and a video cam.
At no time will the three of us come with-in reassembling distance of each other.

Is this some kind of tontine or what's referred to as a Mexican standoff?
How ingenious!
