ok this may sound silly but every time i lift the drivers side floor matt it is wet. i believe its just condinsation(god only knows if i spelled that right). I really dont like it though. if its always wet im afraid it will start rusting. Anyone else have this problem??????????

It will start smeeling also. Sounds like your AC is leaking into the cab!!! It's not normal man....dealership it should go!!!

Anything is possible. The carpet on a car I
had was staying damp in the rear footwell.
When I investigated it, I found a disaster.
There was a defective joint ( not sealed
properly ) on the firewall that allowed water
to leak in the car & the water traveled
under the carpet to the rear. The underside
of the carpet was waterproof, so the only
way I found the water was that it was coming
out of the hole in the carpet for the seat
belt anchor. There was a lake under the carpet.
You definitely should check it out.

I read about this somewhere else, there may even be a TSB. One of the pieces of trim is ajar -- roofline, I think, and you're not alone.... I've heard this happening before.

Has it been raining where you are? If not, it is likely an AC condensation leak as Rossi stated. There have been a few '04 Titans that had this problem.

:nervous:

I had this problem a month ago... dampness under the drivers side floor mat. I took it in to have it checked. They checked the A/C tube and that wasn't it. I'm hoping it's not the firewall issue that someone stated earlier. However, I've washed the truck several times now, plus it's rained heavily a few times as well and it has mysteriously vanished.
Strange thing.

i have not had it looked at yet. i do believe it is condensation. the exhaust system runs right under the drivers side. i checked it again after i finished driving the other day and the floor was really warm and wet. if i leave the matt up for awhile the carpet does not seem wet at all. ??????????????

what kind of floor mats do you have are they the rubber titan ones or the carpeted ones? not sure if this makes a differance but ... also I had this problem on the passengers side and I brought it to my dealer and they fixed it. The dealer claimed it to be a hose that was to tight! They also had to replace my rugs!

My '06 CC had some moisture problems of its own after several weeks of rainy weather. There are TSBs dealing with the A/C condensor not draining properly and leaks in body seams in the front of the cab. Took mine in to have the problem diagnosed and it took them a day and a half, but found the source of the leak. The rear window was leaking on both sides, then running down hill through the wiring channels to the front floorboard. Said it was the first they'd seen, but worth checking. Good luck.

This thread is a couple of years old for one, so the originator may not answer.

However, the leaking on the passenger side is due to the a/c and it was a problem on some 04's and 05's.
