I just recently had an XM SkyFi2 Satallite radio installed in my truck at circuit city. Now if I'm listening to my stereo with just the Acc. on then go to start my truck the speakers pop really bad. It doesn't do it if I just get in the truck and start it right away. I took it back to them and they told me that its because I have the Fosgate system and its Amped. I just think they did a bad ground or something. Anybody no what could be wrong or should I take it back again.

no, its cause you have an amp.......when you go from acc to on, everything cuts of fthen on again, and the pop is the amp kicking back on after it had already been on...my car does it sometimes too

thats true it could be because of your amp. but if it is installed right it shouldn't be doing that. maybe your amp is clashing with your deck or the wiring somewhere is not connected good. i had that problem with another car i had and it was because of a bad ground so i would take it back anyways.
Thats what I thought too but my stereo system is all factory.....it's the Fosgate sound system with the fatory amp and it never popped before. I even got under the dash and took out the fuse for the XM SkyFi2 and the popping stopped when I tried it again. So its something with the wiring that they did with the XM receiver. I'm gonna take it back this weekend.
If a system didn't have an amp somewhere, we couldn't hear it. If it's iternal of the deck, external, OEM or aftermarket it does not matter. Pretty lame excuse from the boys of CC. Right now there is an incompatibility issue which they don't understand how to address. The solution would lie in how the audio gets from the Sat to the audio system I bet.

I also installed a Roady2 in my Titan. I don't listen to it in the ACC position, but I don't get any popping at start-up from off. If I remember correctly, the Roady has the option of auto off and on if its power shuts off when you turn off the ignition. Look on the menu and try cycling the auto off function. Maybe the Roady is popping because the power is going off and on too fast and the power spike when power is restored is causing it to pop. Most audio systems (and I'm assuming that the Roady is one of them) mute the output when they are first turned on until the power stabilizes and that keeps them from popping. If you change the setting on your Roady so that you have to manually turn it on and off, you may cure the popping. You can also try turning off the Roady before going from ACC to Starting the truck and then manually turn it back on. If it still pops when you turn it on manually, I'd think there is a problem either with the Roady or the installation.
Hope this helps,
Bob
Yeah I've tried turning it off and then starting the truck and it still pops. Only when i take the fuse out from under the dash that supplies the power to the xm reciever is when the popping stops. Its a wireless recever to the radio so its not even connected directly to the radio, you just put it on a station not being used and it transmits the signal wirless to the radio. Thats why I think its a wiring problem, thers only 3 wires- a ground, a power, and the antenna. I'll try that manuel on and off and see if that helps at all.
