I once pulled up next to a guy at a McDonalds with a lowered Titan. At the time I was thinking of going this way also, so I asked him about it. He said that all he did was removed the arm that connects the rear leaf spring mount to the frame mount and dropped the rear spring mount directly into the frame mount. He told me that suprisingly it didn't compromise the ride that much.
Now I don't know if just removing parts is the way to go, but the damn thing was level and it looked good. When I was thinking of going low, I did some pretty extensive research and came up empty handed as far as a lowered suspention kit goes.

I don't know... Sounds like a good way to break something... When the leaf compresses it needs to extend and it can't do that if it's hard mounted like that. The leaf and the rear mount is probably taking a hell of a beating...

I don't know about that. Anything can ride crappy if not done right. Mine rides exactly like the factory set up.

just be sure you don't want to tow a whole lot of weight. I thought about lowering but cancelled that idea. I have the rear helper spring mod which lowered the rear 1/2 inch and PRG's custom lathed spacers. It sits really nice w/ my 22's.
