Because of the relocation of the hazard lights, has anyone had trouble getting the bottom half of this kit to fasten? I notice that there is a plastic baffle with a cutout for the original location of the light switch, I'm wondering if I need to cut a hole behind the new location. This joker just will not snap in! Help!

You know, the Scosche mounting kit for aftermarket head units. It's the one sold by Crutchfield. The problem is it moves the hazard light switch from the middle of the bezel to the left, and if I get the bezel to stay snapped on, the switch pops out. There is not enough clearance behind it in the new position. I've been working all day on my new audio system, and it is quite frustrating to hit a snag like this at the end.

I installed a head unit today. I read alot of
bad stuff on titantalk about the Scosche bezel,
they called it a piece of crap. So I only used
the Scosche part that mounts the radio. I used
the stock titan bezel. Some on titantalk use
the Metra kit with the stock bezel.

The bug deflector is Lund stainless steel
( I think it may be called Interceptor, can't
remember for sure ) & the tonneau is ARE.

Heres a pic of mine. I just can't figure out why they would relocate the hazard switch. Yeah I don't like the scosche kits either.
Just buy the OEM XE bezel from one of the site sponsors. I think there only about 35 to 40 bucks.
then you wont have all this hassle.

Well, I DID have to use a hole saw to cut a hole in the plastic baffle at the bottom of the radio cavity in order for the hazard light switch to work in the altered position. I'ts an ugly hole, but seeing as it's behind the dash panel, who's gonna notice? I may order the factory bezel in the future, I just didn't know about it at the time I ordered the Scosche kit, and this seems to be working acceptably now. I REALLY didn't enjoy using a hole saw around all that wiring though. . .
You'd think someone would have mentioned this design flaw to Scosche. I know I'm going to.
