I need help installing my second amp. I have a four channel and two channel amp. The two channel is hooked up. When I wire up the four channel amp do I need to run a whole new power and ground? can I run the power off the 4 channel amp? Anyone with pics of their setup would help me greatly! Thanks!

NO...don't use the same power...

Also...two amps pull a huge amount of power...you better buy a capacitor to help the battery and alternator out. Roadster could tell you a good brand. Using the same ground should be ok..but they need there own dedicated power supply.

You can connect two amps to the same power wire through a distribution block assuming the wire is sufficient size.
If your amp manufacturer recommends a capacitor to make their amp work correctly, ask them why was the amp not designed right in the first place.

One amp will work great without a capacitor....but two....watch your lights on the truck just about shut off with two......

Yeah It would be best to use a distribution block at the amp location. If using a Capacitor after the capacitor wire in your dis. block then try to use the shortest power wire to run to each amp.
A Capacitor will take care of your power drain problems.

I would agree with using a distribution block for the same power line. My system was just finished a few days ago, and my installers have always used distribution blocks. Depending on your current/power draw on the amps, you may not need the capacitor, as Rossi said watch your lights without one, and that will tell you if you really need one. If you decide to get one, Batcaps are really small and do a damn good job, and run about $130. Now if you are talking a really powerful system, I reccommend a second battery, such as a Yellow Top.

before you go the capacitor route, you might want to try to upgrade your battery to an OPTIMA
