Question for Jet Tech or someone who has done this.
May be getting a new Titan 4x4LE CC,No big tow, no off road with .373 gear rear end. ( But, I want to put on 285's BFG All-Terrains with 17" off-road wheels like come with the off road package)
Question #1 Are 265x18 the same size as 285x17?
#2 Will putting 285x17 change the gear ratio and put me back in the same condition I'm in now?(lower gears and lower mileage?)
#3 Will doing this change the speedo readout?

Going with that size should make no change at all. The 265/70/18 is within fractions of an inch difference in rotating size of the 285/70/17. :)
