Ok folks we are trying to get a Northern California meet going. Our very own Jaysplaypen has offered up her slow cooked ribs!!! She's in the Sacramento area and we are looking for suggestions as to were to have this meet at. A family setting is preferred since some have childeren.

I'll bring some Tri-tip and do the cooking. There are posts at TT regarding the same thing. So let's all get together and some of you show me why I need Volant and new exhaust!!!

So we need to get some ideals on a couple things.....Exactly what date...if we get a few we can run a poll on it. And all ideals as to exactly were to have this would be appreciated!! AFter we get an ideal of who is coming we will try to compile a list as to who is bringing what so we can have a nice big cook out.

So come on guys....let's get this going!!!

Tritip is a mystery here in Carolina, you would sooner see bbq musrat. :roll: granted they do some mighty fine pig bbq, just something about tritip and grilling it. i think i would rate tritip, carolina bbq and then Kanas city bbq.

I didn't see anyone post any dates yet. I have a small house with a patio and a good size gas grill that I have only used once (the perils of biz travel about 100 nights per year). If everyone arrives early enough, I could use the help installing the XM unit and Volant units.

June 25th and July 16th...I'll try to do a poll.

jaysplaypen will have to jump in here but I think we have agreed on Elk Grove Park for the meet.

I'm also going to contact my dealer and let them know about it and see if they have any interest in maybe going.....talking to us or anything. And there is a nice dealership not too far from Elk Grove Park that I will try to make contact with when we have a date. And might as well send the Sacramento Bee a letter about it and maybe we can get a little article on us going.

Hell bring the tools and your new toys to the meet...I'd be glad to see how it all hooks up and so forth. Come on people...I know there are more people out there that live around this area!! I'm seeing Titans daily now....

Ok I have made contact with Elk Grove Nissan today to gauge there interest in coming out to talk to us and look at our trucks and hear what we have to say about them. Also asked them to show us what info they have on the 06 and what to expect. HOpefully I will get a good response from them.

I have extended this invite over to CA and it looks like we have a few Armada that will join us at the meet. So between CT, TT, and CA we should have a good one going. I need to start some notes...to get an ideal of exactly who might be coming and the numbers.

Ok folks I have some great news regarding our meet. Between all the sites we are going to have a decent turnout. Come on CT...represent!! I'm looking forward in showing off my ClubTitan.org sticker to them TT members!! But here is the best news. I have made contact with Elk Grove Nissan, the owner himself. Sorry ron, did not see this thread here. Glad to see we are getting the word out though.

I meet a guy at the car wash today with a 04 endurance, and invited him to the site and the meet, so maybe one more. Once you talk to John, and decide if he is sponsoring food or prizes. Then we can make up a list of things we need and people can decide what they want to bring.

I contacted the Sacramento Bee today, and was waiting for her to call me back. Of course she did but I missed her, So I will call her back On monday to see what we can do about getting in the paper, either a article or on a the event calender.

I look forward to meeting your group. I dont know if you all are familier with one of the Nissan general sites out there called NICO. I am the online mechanic there as well. I put in alot of time asnwering technical and diagnostic questions from members there, I do it voluntarily. If any of you ever have a question for me I usually hit the online mechanic section several days a week. If I am not here or dont catch something here feel free to post there.


Is there anything specific any of you would like me to share at the event. I dont have it all in my head I may need to research some info. I can tell you this, as John mentioned, The brake judder fix has finally come. There have been several updates to the brake components and I am feeling pretty good about what they have given us to make the final repair.

Welcome Scott!!! This meet is looking pretty good. It's between a few differnt clubs.

I've got a quick questions...I've got a slight pulse in the brakes...not bad at all really..but I can now feel it. Do I have to wait until my steering wheel jumps out of the truck or is that enough???

The problem right now is parts availability from nissan. Right now we have a very limited supply of parts. We are currently under instruction to only do the ones that come in and have had it done twice before, They get the complete kit. On vehicles that still have turnable rotors we simply machine the rotors to eliminate the shimmy for now,and install[if needed] part of the updated parts. Then when parts are more readily available or should your rotors be at or close to minimum cuttable surface you would get the whole kit installed.

Regardless ,If you have a shimmy you should bring it in to have the shimmy eliminated. At least for the time being. Trust me we ,the techs, are as sick of the brake problem as the owners of the vehilces. It gets pretty old having to do so many a week. We at the dealer are completely on the owners side when it comes to problems like this.

Welcome scott, I will put you on the list. Are you bringing anybody with you. I will bring my laptop, and I have the nissan service manual downloaded, so you can use that to help you answer questions if need be.

At the momet it will just be me.I dont know who else from the dealer is going yet. As a matter of fact I didnt find out about this meet through my dealer I found out through Team-Driven norcal division, another online nissan club I am affiliated with. My boss asked me if I wanted to represent the dealer for an event at Elk Grove park. I asked him what event it was and he just said it was a Titan/Armada group. Thats when the bell went off and I remembered seeing it posted on Team-Driven. So tonight I searched for Club Titan and here I am..lol. I never really told my boss yes or no, I think he just assumed since he new I was so involved with car clubs outside of work already.

I appreciate your offer on the service manual, but I was more reffering to 06 info you guys might want the scoop on.I hear things all the time some sticks and some stuff doesnt. Its the stuff that doesnt your probably going to ask me huh?? :lol:
