good day all. i've been getting about 10 miles to the gallon around town. i have almost 1600 miles on truck. i've been driving real mellow. i would punch it from time to time but not all the time. could it be that it's still new? i've been filling up every two weeks. just thought i could probably fuel up every three if i was getting the sticker digits of 14.

yeah i know it's truck LinkNuc. shouldn't expect good fuel economey from a 5.6liter V-8 with 305 horses and 397lb per ft of torque.

Well in Van nuys.....stop and go...I hated the 405!! 101 is worse!! 110....10....5....They all suck in that area... LoL

But still...10...I'd shoot myself...

well, i don't drive on the freeways, the only time i'm on the freeway is on the weekends. i'm usually driving around in the valley, to school and work. i filled up 91 octane today, i want to see if there is any difference. i had 270miles when the gas light came on.

I had a couple of cars with fuel mileage computers
that seemed to be very accurate. The fuel mileage
would slowly increase until the miles reached
about 3000 to 4000. But, that was only an
increase of 1 to 1.5 mpg.

I'm averaging between 15.6 & 16.3. Have about 14000 miles now. Don't drive TOO aggressively (however, It doesn't matter, the mpg stays the same!)

Worst I've gotten is 13.4, had about 350 miles and was pulling the bassboat to the lake.

Best I've gotten is 17.8. Nearly all freeway, bedcover & A/C on 70-75 mph.

I have been using the helpful Excel worksheet found on the site to track my mileage. My worst mileage has been 12.16 MPG and the best is 18.83. My average is 15.98 after 3000 miles. I used the worksheet from day 1, so all my miles are included. I only use 87 Octain. I definetly get better mileage then I did in the first 1000 miles. In fact, my average is consistently getting better. Of course, almost 1500 miles have been on the freeway.

By the way....I LOVE MY TITAN!!!!!!!

I tried that too, the cans don't stay in once I get on the interstate. They were flying out left and right and everyone behind me were dodging them. Wasn't too cool, luck a cop wasn't around.
