How do you guys feel about the one in my current avatar? Is it cool enough yet? Does it rock yet? Would you put it on your truck or wear the hat and Tshirt? It's kind of a compilation with a little more tweaking. Any other entries yet?

I like it, would definitely wear it on a hat/shirt. Would have to see how the sticker looks in person but would probably put it on the truck.

But I still like the first of the 4 you posted earlier better.

I'm not quite happy with either one yet but I want to hear what everybody has to say about it and tweak either one if needed so that we all have colors we can live with and support. We aren't a biker gang, although some of us would like to be, lol, but we need colors that everyone will sport in one way or another. We are going to leave this contest open for at least another few days to see what else people can come up with.

If there were no Sun at the top and all else being the same, what would you guys put at the top of the triangle instead? I was Looking for ideas and all I could think of was a wolf because they feast on Rams and walk all over the Tundra, lol. Anybody else have something, let's hear it guys cause we can use all the help we can get and as nice as BBF's was, I think we can do better, lol.

I'll look forward to seeing that sticker in my rearview.

I'm trying to think of what else to put up top but could use some help. If you guys have any ideas, please speak up cause we aren't married to this one by any means. I'm not sure how long printing the stickers would take but to have them by OCT 19th is not unreasonable. I thought the event was sooner than that. T-shirts on the other hand may be more difficult but we haven't had a chance to discuss those yet. We'll try to focus on the stickers by then and at least you may have something to slap on your truck by event day.

i really like the middle one of the last 3 shifty posted.. that'd be perfect in chrome for the front window banners :)In the future we can do window banners and what not that don't need to match the initial logo but in the mean time we need a good starting logo for letterhead and so on that will be easy and cheap to produce and that most people can live with. A few people didn't like the rising sun on the previous logo so I did the newer version and eliminated it. Placing a VK56 engine rendition at the top of the triangle was also discussed and we may do that in the future but it was not something I could manage right now because I've been busy modifying my truck as well. If we can live with one of the triangle logos, we are ready to call it a day and just have some printed. There are several people wanting stickers for events and we may be able to produce some for those if we decide soon. If we do a 2 to 3 inch version of one of the triangles, we can revisit the logo in the future and have a longer running contest and all but one of the triangles would get us started the quickest.

Post #47 looks great. I'd like to suggest reinstating the white trim outline of the VK56 so the Red stands out from the Black a lot more. That would be a perfect design.

No, I haven't joined yet, I just couldn't fly with the original design logo. I only fly American. But I'm liking what I see develope. Any East Coasters in the club, besides M4ck in SC, and of course, Papa D in Central FL?

I will be the first to admit that my talents are limited but I haven't seen anything else that grabbed me yet either. I kept trying to think of something but was drawing a blank and some of the other stuff I tried was a complete failure. I think this one is simple, colorful and unique enough to be recognized without actually reading it and also generic enough that it will not offend anyone that disliked the sun logo. We may end up with this one for now if it's something that everyone can live with until the real graphic artists come up with our version of the Pepsi logo, lol.

Come on guys, throw an opinion this way. Is this last one with no sun something you would wear on a ball hat or t-shirt and maybe even stick to your truck window? We need to decide this thing if we are gonna get stickers out in the near future.

In that case, my vote is take it to the printers!

Well.............. try taking out the white boarders around the letters and just bold bright red the IRC in White and make the whole triangle black not the thing at the top and put a white boarder around it that has rounded edges like mine I tried to make another on but messed up.

Yup! Post #52 looks good! Of course, I'm biased....I think the Red needs a White border because the tones are too close, not enough contrast to pick out the letters as easily without the white.

Black sucks up everything in graphics design work, but is a very popular color nevertheless. The Red is a good color to reflect the Japanese heritage of the Titan. Black is closely associated with risky or dangerous behaviors. White gives a touch of purity, or clarity.

SO, I like the design for lots of reasons.

I'd put this on the back of my new FR Race Jacket, if I don't do Charm City Titans. We have a Nissan Burger based emblem.

Design by DF6 Titan in Post #55 would work very well too, if it outllined the VK56 in White. I'm stuck on that particular. I like his upper design very much. How about if DF6 Titan did that and/or did the Red Triangle with an outline like he did the white triangle?


UPDATE:

Just saw second design in post #55, looks good. Probably does need to left with the solid Red to keep it from being too dark if the Black showed through. And I just now saw it blown up, and better appreciate the Bright Red now. But I still like the White outline if the VK56. That is the only thing I'dlike to see you try.

Post #50, with a Bright Red would do it fine for me, I wouldn't change anything else on that one.

I've read many threads everywhere on this VK56 club. Just where did it all get started? What inspired it all?

We all got started my the inspiration of the VK56 and all the applications that its in from dirt, drifting to the track and to unite the members in one common interest the VK56. So far we have got a great response so far and just hoping that the club will continue to grow we are already having request for the logo just trying to get one ironed out for the press. Sticker, Decals, T-Shirts, Hats we hope to have it all :D
