:hi: Okay guys it looks we finally going to have a meet in San Antonio.
The date that we have set is Saturday September 29th 2007. So far we have some ideas for what we plan on doing on that date. Meeting will start around 1pm
Some suggestion from the original thread;

#1 Introduction
meeting at a Restaurant (Mamasitas off I10, Great Restaurant with a big parking lot and ~5.50 frozen Margaritas)

#2 Showoff
a)Depending on Marc Manager from Gunn if he sponsor the Meet, we all meet in a TBD location(Dealership or Park - Brack or McCallister)
b)We go Off-roading

#3 Cruise to a Bar or Restaurant

We need to know who is coming to the meeting, I know for some this is a real short noticed.
Hope this works out and we can get this meeting going.
It doesnt matter if your a member or not, if your friend has a frontier and wants to come they are welcome, even if they have POS Ford or Chevy, they still welcome. Bring your family and if you have pets maybe we can moved the meet to a park and not go to a restaurant. Any ideas or comments are welcome. Just remeber the date set is Saturday September 29th 2007.

Heee Heee! That's funny, 2 get 1 free. Actually, I got mine first, then my dad and finally my mother. All within two months.
As far as which is faster, that would be mine. I have the most/only mods.

I haven't done any drilling yet...so we are in the same boat! I have been working on my amp racks for the past month over the weekends. We can compare projects and notes when we meet up :) I'll try to have my amp racks (at least) installed to show when I come to SA.

ok, went out and checked out the spot that i had been to before today. it was pretty dry but there were a couple mud holes and stuff for the 4x4 guys and some decent trails for the 4x2 guys. i did alot in my 2wd today. its not exactly legal tho, so there is always that side of it. also, if you dont want any small scuffs or anything in your paint this will not be the trail for you, there is potential for it, i didnt get any today but there is potental for it.

so its up to everyone else what they want to do, oh ya, and lift is not really required, but suggested. at least 4" would be optimum.

let me know what yall want to do. i had a good time out there today, for the 4x4 guys there is a little more, like hill climbs and mud and stuff, i didnt go in that cause i was there by myself today. but if i someone was with me i would play in the mud with my 4x2

Theres a couple of ranches out of SA like 1-2hrs away that charge to go wheeling. Ill see if I can find the website.
From what wakeboarder has talk to me it sound like no one goes out to that trail, he has gone several time and nothing has happend.

no, unfortunately i didnt get any pics. looks like no one has been back there in a couple months. which is wierd. so im wondering if they are cracking down on stuff back there. they did put up a couple new signs saying no vehicles off road. so take it as you will

Yes, it looks like a lot of different thoughts running around. Honestly if we can just meet up for lunch and then afterwards give each member a chance to show their truck, etc....frankly that is enough for me. Since this is the first one, we always have next time to set something up that is better.

BTW. My dad just bought new wheels and tires and he wants to sell the stock SE 5 spokes and tires. If I am not mistaken, the tires are still on the wheels but the beads are separated from the wheel lip. I am not sure why but I know that there is nothing wrong with them. If anyone is interested he'll take them up to SA.

if anyone wants to invite the armada and xterra and frontier guys that would be cool, i say we get as many people as possible. i think we decided on mamacitas off of i-10 (by the med center) for meeting up. but if we get more people we could always move it somewhere else.

I have posted on a 3 club sites. Mamacitas is good. Will ther plenty of room to have all the truck park in one area? If not the Olive Garden at 1604 & IH10 has a huge parking lot. The trucks could be parked out and way from everyone. Just a thought!

Hello all. For d0va and wake, this may be obvious, but I just wanted to ask if either one of you or someone in that area will get to Mamacitas early and request seating for.....umm.... what, almost 20 people?

i count about 13

but i think that can be aranged

they have a big glass table with a waterfounting under it, I think it seats around 20, They also have several rooms that can accommodate large groups, so thats not a problem...

if we get an semi accurate head count we can call ahead and book a place there for a group. or if we get too many we can move it to a park.

I might be the sour apple of the bunch. There is a chance I might not make this, but let me explain. My audio project has been going on for nearly 3 months now. Between my work and gf...I've neglected finishing this project. I have a chance this week to get Thursday and Friday off. If so, I will be spending the next four days straight working on finishing this project. I did not anticipate the amount of time I have involved in this. Most of it has been wood working building the amp racks. Luckily my gf is supportive either way...go to SA or stay in the garage and try and finish.

I am not one to say I am going to an event and then backing out...it's not my character. But I can tell you this. If this does pan out and I stay to finish...you will see it all in detail in the forum when it is done. My goal was to have this completed this weekend since next weekend my friend is getting married at SPI. I am trying not to fall short.

I will know for sure tomorrow what I will do. Either way...I'm gonna miss out on something

That suck, they seem to do that to every spot availalble to offroad. Is like devils den now they have Park Police patroling in ATV. The city is supposedly planning to build parks in this washout places (city water drains) by 2016 and thats why they closed cause they are project areas. I go there all the time, alot!!! and we had like 10 people parties with out reserving. We just have to wait. If we go during lunch theres not that many people on the weekend, its usually pack at evening and night. We might have to wait 30-50min for our table but it would be ok. Since we can used that time to check our rides out.
Also I'm not sure I don't seem to find the website or Flyer but I think theres a car show at the cowboys dance hall on Saturday.

Guys, I was looking at the Henderson Perf. Technologies page and they have a gallery of a Mustang club doing dyno pulls. It's actually rather cool. Hee hee, maybe if we get enough Titans together we can schedule a Club Titan group dyno session. Awesome.

BTW, I never mentioned how cool the decal was. I'd buy one.

I was going to discuss. Our next meet could be a Test and Tune event at HPT. Corey puts these events on for several clubs. Let talk about it on Sat.

They are nice but the setup looks a little funny because I used the factory 245/75's. Not enough cash for a wheel/tire setup, but at least I'll have them on for the SA meet tomorrow instead of the factory steelies. How's the weather in SA guys? Down here it has been raining on and off all day! So much for a wash. I just hope it's not raining when we take pictures.

well, it appears that TT05 and myself will not make the meet in SA. Unless things change tonight, we will not be there. :(

yeah, i've counted my hours thave i've worked this week and i've worked a total of 73 hours. i've been going in early this week, since work a flex scedule, and work next week 7 to 4... i might change my mind, so, don't be freaked out, when you see nick and myself rolling up in his PRO4X. my titan is still in the shop... it's not a bad drive to SA, so, i'm pondering it now... if someone would be kind enough to recap what time it starts, when we are going to meet, do we need to bring something - other than ourselves and our titans (which i can't bring mine) - and of course as all meets, they end when they end (i understand that one)... please save me from looking back at the 11 pages, i don't mind doing it, and might end up doing so, but, if it can be recapped that'd be cool and greatly appreciated!

may bring the gf...she digs this kinda stuff!

My Titan wasn't totalled, however, I haven't heard from the body shop as of yet to see what is all damaged underneath. The exterior wasn't bad, the mud flap had to be replaced, I'm getting a new bumper, my back passenger panel is being repainted and cleared, and I'm getting a new Terra Grappler.... I should know something by EOW next week about my the destruction underneath my Titan, and should be able to pick it up... YAY!

Sure there is, but it might be a 2 day event. Are you up for that. Dyno one day, I've already that set. The next ?.

There can be only 28 dyno runs in a day. Two pull per vehicle at a cost of $45.00 per vehicle. No tuning include. This will be on a Sunday. Now what do we do on a Saturday? Suggestions! Should this be a Texas event?

if we get a dyno day going we could always get the houston guys to come, but that would have to be planned in advance. im thinking a central texas meet in NB or austin area might be the best sometime later on, next month or something! im so stoked about tomorrow, just got back from the bar tonight with soem friends so im gonna pass out and see you guys in a few hours!!!

We all then went our separate ways after that. On our way back to the Valley, we stopped in Corpus to have a snowcone. The parking lot was crowded so I parked in the back. I was kind of tired from all the driving and mistakenly opened the back door of the snowcone stand and........you will not believe what I saw! This is how they were making the cones!!! :

I'm totally down for dyno's. I would love to get my truck dynoed!!

So am I. Alamomike gave a discounted dyno run as a raffle prize at the meet. My dad won it and gave it to me. MWUAHAHAHAHAHAAA! But seriously, we need to plan this with enough time to get a good amount of members to participate. Mike said that it would be held on a Sunday and that Henderson can do dyno runs, without tuning, for 28 vehicles. Even though there is no tuning involved, it still is something to consider.

i drove on the serf mostly, but i also drove on the soft stuff

i saw two Jeeps and several Chevys near the 35 mile mark, but no one, only me and the Jeeps had the balls to venture into the soft sand way down toward Big Shell...

yes they did... So can you basicly go anywhere or is there trails to follow.

it is about 75-100 feet from water to dunes for about 67 miles...

you can do anything but, build permanent structures,use firearms,drive in dunes,bother the sea turtles or other wild life,leave your trash, or general mess such as oil spills and crap

but fires and pretty much any type of camping is allowed


tents, travel trailers, pop-ups or a NON-perminent lean-to

is allowed

there is debris and lots of seaweed on the beach
