I've eaten at most of these places. All very good.

I recommend a trip along the Blue Ridge Parkway as you'll enjoy the view. There's a few crafts shops along the way.

Yeah, the parkway is beautiful. Wait a couple of weeks, when the leaves are turned peak, and come back for an entirely spectacular look at God's paint brush!

Yes, that's true.

The flash ruins pictures and they also don't want their ambiance ruined.

I would also consider Grandfather Mountain along with Chimney Rock...

At Chimney Rock, there is an restaurant near there atop the Mountain-can't recall the name but if you get there before typical meal times, the view is spectacular.

Hey ,

If you have a nitch for hiking you guys should hike up to hickory nut falls. It is spectacular. The hike is kinda tough but it is well worth it if you have the time. You may also want to check out lake lure. We rented a house on the lake 2 summers ago and it was amazing. The lake was crystal clear. Have fun and be safe.
