Installed mine a few days ago. Really like the in channel design much better then the stick on kind. It gives a much cleaner, professional look. Installation was very easy, you basicly start each corner in the track, and bend them ut some while working the rest in. I notice on the Titan, more then other vehicles I have had visors on, I keep thinking the window is open from the outline of the visor. No noticeable wind noise, overall....very pleased with them.

I called weathertech last week to order for my CC. They said it would be Oct before they had more in stock.. :? So I took a chance and ordered the wades off ebay for 39 bucks, figured if they suck they would do until OCt. Suprisingly, a very nice fit and no wind noise noted yet. And I saved more money for engine mods!!!

Even the guy I orderd them from at "Garage Toys" told me they were on back order, and could not tell me when they would deliver. I got out of bed yesterday, and they were sitting in my dinning room?????

Man if your married, then your wife is cool! Whats your secret? If I even talk about ordering something for the TITAN I get the look of death!

Man if your married, then your wife is cool!

You are absolutly correct, I have got one of the good ones! She treats me like a king, but then she don't get treated too bad either! The secret? The little things are just not important enough in the big picture to get upset about. (when you reach a certain point in your life, I promise you, you will understand)

The other thing you need to remember, is that even though I kid around about being the old man of the bunch, it does have some advantages. I have all ready been through the tuff financial times in my life.

I got the Wades off E-bay. Three are perfect, the drivers window had a little bit of a rough edge on the bottom making it a hair too tall. Trimmed it easily and after the window auto reversed twice it is aperently where ut want to be and closes properly. 8)

Bill,
I accidently let the wades go with the old titan and now want some for new titan. Is there any wind noise at highway speeds with the weathertech's? I did get a little with wades, just wondering.
Thanks Bill!!

I notice none at all with the weathertechs. I am finding that a lot of posters are much more critical then me though. Not so much here, but over at TT, there are complaints brought up that I scratch my head and say to myself, are you serious?????

I am a new member, just ordered an 05 from units coming in to town equipped how I wanted it. I just sold our 1996 Nissan Maxima (95K) and had Vent Visors on the front windows. After years of being in the window track they started to rattle due to the double face tape losing it's stickyness. Just remove them from the channel and peel off whatever double-faced tape was left on, clean and put a length of new narrow double-faced tape you get at a local hardware store. My 2000 Toyota Tundra also have vent visors, 90K on it. I will get Vent Visors for my Titan. On a scale of 1-5, I give them a 5.

I was out looking for an 04 unsold, but the subtle changes in 05 caught me. In Colorado and elsewhere I assume, you cannot have people in a boat when towing from a boatramp to another location nearby, even with 15MPH speed, so I wanted a front bench seat to accomodate up to 6. I also like the power rear window and the tailgate assist. I have the 05LE, Tow, Off Road, Front bench, slider and extender. I'll be looking for an aftermarket alarm/remote start, I'll see if there is a string, otherwise I'll start one.
Hopefully the truck will be in before Christmas.

Can't recall anyone on this forum having a remote starter. That'd be something else I'd be interesested in also (especially with the frost the last couple of mornings :) ) .

I've got the 04, SE, 4x4, Green, Big Tow, Utility Bed, Popular Package, & Bench seat. (I know what you mean about able to seat 6).

Anyway, glad to have you here!

Hope you know some small people. You would never get 6 of me in any Titan unless you let 2 of us sit in the bed. LOL

WOW, I had no problems like that! If I remember correctly, don't the instructions say something about leaving windows up for a certain amount of time? Did you do that? Also, I wonder if installing them in cold environment may have something to do with it?

12-18-2004, 07:37 AM
The instructions ssid to roll the window up at least 5 times, then let it stay up for 24 hours. I'm still in the 24 hour period. I could make the window stay up by holding up the up button. When I rolled the windows up with the auto up, they came right back down when they hit the vent visors.

The reason for keeping them up is to allow the vent visor to mold itself into place. I am thinking that with it being colder out, the are going to do this "molding" a little slower. They are probobly making a resistance causing your window to go back down. In a perfect world, it would be great to be able to keep your truck in heated garage for the 24 hours after install! I would give it a little time before getting too worried about it. If it persists, get in touch with your vendor that sold them to you, or Weathertec themselves.

Well, the drivers side is workin now, but not the passenger. I'll wait a little longer before calling them. Also, with the windows up, there's really bad wind noise. These things were not cheap. Anyone else have wind noise with these?

Since they arn't settled in yet, I think I'll take em off to compare the wind noise difference. Was there a piece of clear tape or plastic on yours where it sits on top of the dew wiper? Did ya take it off?

If I remember correctly, that piece of tape covers the adhesive, so yes, pull it off.
