Ok, my truck is due for the 30k service, its actually at 33k but I was waiting till i needed to change the oil to do it all at once and I'm thinking of doing it myself.

My questions are, is it ok that I do it myself and is there any special tools or equipment needed to do the tranny and anti freeze? What I was going to do was change the Oil, Tranny fluid rear diff and anti freeze and replace the in cabin filter. Do I need to be aware of over filling or doing something wrong? Is there anything else that needs to be done for the 30k service? I live pretty far from the nearest dealership thats why I wanna do it myself.

Also can I buy all the fluids threw Nissan(Nissan brand) and what weight of fluids do I need. If so does anybody know any pricing on these fluids so I know im not taken for a ride when I go in to buy them. I have an 04 and I know they changed the fluid weight for the rear end. Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks again guys!!!!!

The prices dealers charge these days are right up there with doctor & medical fees.

I talked to the service manager and he knows I do all my own fluids, wipers and stuff. He printed out the 30K checklist and scratched off what I don't need. It really cut the price. If you know him then they will work with you. Hope that helps
