I did my second oil change yesterday, just turned 5kmi, and I used Mobil 1 0w-40 this time. Last fill was Mobil 1 5w-30, and WOW, it's like a whole new truck! The thing is so quite now it's scary! I have noticed oil making a slight difference before, but this was drastic. In 3k I'll drain her and send a sample to Blackstone to see what it comes back as but I think I found my oil. :D I also put on the OEM Aluminum diff cover (I got that from TitanHauler, thanks again buddy!) and filled her with some nice 75w-140 Syntech synthetic lube (the Walmart stuff). The OEM actually didn't look too bad so I guess the biggest issue with the 04's diffs was not catching the under filled lube. And while I was at it I drained the front and filled that with the 75W-140 as well. :) So the Titan is in a full fresh state right now. :) That's all, just wanted to share, thanks for reading. :)

Good job. I put synthetic in the rear diff. a few
months ago. Sure is nice having that drain plug.

Glad to hear the 0w40 keeps things quiet. The new 5w30 M1 ep I have in there now is really quiet also. And btw the drain plug is a great thing, its almost like the sticky stamps why havnt they been doing this all along? :)
