i ordered my PIE amp for my truck so i could fix that damn aux problem so i am tryign to get the wires setup so all i have to do is make some conections

well i got the conections mostly finished but i heard you need to make 1 wire out of the brown and the other two wires tie into the 2nd wire, is this correct?

Each RCA connection has two wires in it a pos and neg. you will take the negative out of each cable and connect it to the common ground. The individual pos. will connect to their respective pos on the back of the jack.

ok i have one more quiestion, i knew this at one time but i forgot it now, which is the shield in the rca conection cable is it the smaller wire inside the cable or the wire that is bare that you see when you first cut it?

The shield is the outer uninsulated wire.
