I tried to replace my airfilter for the first timethe other day and could not get the box to close properly with the new one in. Anyone else have this problem??

what one did you go with? if you get the air hog there can be clearance issues which you resolve by trimming the rubber sealer

ima buy the fram air hog filter. how good is the hp/tq difference?

supposedly some gains but i had it on my tacoma before this and there really wasnt much difference other than the lifetime aspect of it

I had problems closing my airbox when I used the Fram filters but, I bought an STP air filter and it fits great. The airbox closed with no problems.

Haven't had this issue. I bought the K&N drop in with 3700 miles and haven't had to change since. Only 31k on the odo now.

Before I installed my Injen, I replaced the filter last year with a Fram, and there were some clearance issues. As stated ealier, just trim the rubber a little and it will fit fine.

got it in , just needed to try a little harder, fit's tight.
