It seems to me that if 1/10 of all the people who magazine, Dyno, and slip race on the forums went to the track just once, there would be a hole in the Ozone the size of north America. I'm tired of the smack, let's race at the track.
This is a formal invite to all you bench racers out there to meet the TEAM VK56 racers at the nearest track. Got a Dodge, Tundra, Ford, Chevy, GMC or even Mitsubishi that you think can take out any truck on the track? PROVE IT. I am at the track any given week of the year and will make a special trip if I have to.
We want to see heads up racing between all the brands and we don't care what's in it. If you run 10's on vegetable oil and a quad turbo setup, we don't care, we'll race you. Name your time and track and we will do our best to get a member out there.
ENOUGH OF THE SMACK, MEET US AT THE TRACK.
Anyone who is up for this challenge, now is the time to sound off. Time to put up or shut up, now is your chance to give everybody what they are dying to see, heads up competition between the brands.
Anybody up for this? LET'S HEAR IT.

LP, I am down for Atco as well! I dunno how good of a Toyo "representative" I'll be though...heavy and slow :D I guess my closest comparison Titan would be a 4x4 LE CC loaded to the gills. But what the hell, I'll do it just so I can continue to put my $.02 in on these threads :p

Call it paying my entry fee!!!!!!!

As long as the humidity is kept at bay, Atco is one of the best tracks in the country for Top Fuel. Unfortunately, this makes it not so nice for the street guys. Traction is usually a problem.

Do you have the burnout mod? If not, I got a switch lying around. We can literally do the mod in a matter of minutes at the track. It helps to get the water off the tires after being forced through the burnout box.

Worse yet you have a lot of people who know no better than to drive through with street tires and wet down the starting line.

Atco does not have a burn out box the guy stands ther with a hose and sprays water all over you have no choice but to get your tires wet p*ssed my off.I think the burn out mod might help.I know DR's would just to close to chrismas for them.

Ill be there waitin fer the light to turn GREEN!!!!!Nah, nothing of the sort. It's just that I see a whole lot of effort going toward guessing what this or that will do against everything from a miata to a cargo jet that I am sick of hearing it all with no side by sides to show me much. I want to see em line up on the same track same time and have at it and we will be in bench racing material for a year, lol. I love to talk about this stuff but it would be a whole lot more interesting with one brand in one lane and something else in the other. I go to the track a lot and the guys usually want to race each other. I wanted to race a one of the Daytona Hemi's the last time I was at the track and all they did was race each other about five times. WTH, nobody wants to race unless you know you can win? I want to race dang it and I don't care how much faster you are than me. Let's line em up and you can beat the snot out of me, I don't care if I get my butt kicked, fact is, I could use a good butt whoopin', lol.

Uh oh...this is how it started with me...at first I wanted a sub 15 second truck.....ran a 14.9...then I wanted a 14.8 truck....and it just continued.

If you took me back one year...I would tell you if my truck ran a 14.2 I'd be sooo happy that it wouldn't matter if it went any faster...now I'm running 14.2...and it's not enough!!!!

I think I probably would have run low 15.3's before tune with just intake and exhaust if I would have done the burnout mod. Unfortunately, I did the burnout mod after Osiris so I cannot show a direct comparison. But I can say it helps when your ecu doesn't kill power in the run becuase of the safety feature. Once I started launching at like 17-1800 rpms I started pulling some solid 60' times. I hope to see you at the track on the 11th!

I've got two Tundras lined up to race at my local track and although I haven't see Zad out there lately, another friend of mine just bought a new Tundra and will be modding it and we should have some good head to head racing. You and Ev are welcome to join us at Speedworld if you like, should be fun and I owe Phillip one since he beat me in his 4.7L Tundra on the juice, It's a friendly Tundra grudge match, may the best pig win.

No kidding, they tried to make me do a burnout in the Jeep last weekend and I was like UHHHH AWD here buddy and he was like well your not getting water on my track and I told him next time put down a towel for me which did not settle well. I wish they had just one lane dry for a while and let the AWD or non slicks runners to hit that lane for a while. I also made a suggestion that there should be more room to drive around the water and that further pissed him off

Yeah, I don't know what they are thinking wetting down the start line like that. Fortunatly they do a little track prep between the street cars running and the quik guys at Speedworld. As far as racing the big wheel, I will do it, lol. You know I raced a guy in a Hemi 5.7L magnum last week and he said he was stock and running 14.3's and I was running 14.2's but he beat me because I couldn't keep out of the gas long enough to not red light.
