Theres an 1/8th mile track thats close to me that i always use to go to. Tonight was the first night I've went in about 3 years. All I can say it was definetly motivation to want to run the titan. There was not one street truck to run tonight while I was there. Two guys did ask if I was going to run though. I have never ran any vehicle at the strip before so there are a couple questions I had. What do you do when your sitting in line for an hour waiting to run? Do you start in up to move up 5 feet and turn it off and repeat 20 times? And what do you think would be better, stock rims with goodyears or my 30 pounds each heavier tires and rims that have about a 3" wider contact patch? It seemed like a lot of the street guys were spinning a lot off the line. I'd have to say the best race I saw tonight was a dropped 4 wheeler and a snow mobile. 4 wheeler ran a low 8 and the snow mobile ran a high 7.

If its crowded ull be in line for a while so bring a buddy. If you want your buddy (if hes not racing) can ride with you, but obviously your time will slightly suffer. Just have fun and follow the rules they will give you. common sense stuff. They usually have a group of cars pull forward, so you will sit for a little then move up like 30 or 40 feet. Every track is different.
couple tips...
1. stay away from the water if at all possible. Water stays in the tread cause your not running slicks.
2. Small or no burnout. H rated tires and below will actually harden up if heated to much. You can spin em for a sec to clean debris off though.
3. No AC
4.No AC! Other than power loss, our trucks ac compressor drips a lot and that will carry to the line and you will get kicked out if it gets on the track
I would just run what you have on the truck as far as tires go. Its easier and then next time you can try the other to see omprovment or not.
oh ya,
5. Video!!
6. When the light turns green, go!

What I usually do is this: Powerbrake to start spinning tires, let off brake and let them spin for a few feet. Pull up to the line, and hit it on the 3rd yellow light. Usually gives me a good R/T.
Yeah, it can get boring going by yourself. I went once by myself, and it was boring. I even went up to people and started talking, but that got boring LOL..Bring a book if you do, lol..
