I took my truck up North to Bellevue, NE (part of Omaha) to have my truck looked at for the first time since I purchased it. I finally got tired of not being able to use the cruise control, come to find out there was a blown fuse next to the break peddle that was the culprit. While I was there I decided to get the recalled wiring harness replaced and get the 2* timing advance done. The ticking noise coming from the top of the engine could not have been reproduced by the service tech, so I will just have to live with it (EVAP purge valve I think). I told them about the service bulletin, but they cannot do anything unless they see and/or hear the sound. Oh well, can't win them all.
The guys in the service department were very pleasant, and got my truck done in a couple of hours

My truck is at Woodhouse right now getting new shocks. I didn't know they knew how to do the 2* timing advance. How much did they charge you? What service writer did you work with? Matt Hunter and I get along very well and he is warrantying (sp?) my shocks even though it was my abuse that caused the failure.
BTW, I noticed in your sig that you finally got your flares, wheels and tires put on. Do you have any updated pics? I have some vacation time coming up soon. We should head down to Tuttle Creek.

I dealt with Matt for the most part. I gave him the instruction from CT to perform the timing advance. It cost about $90. They know how to do it. As for the rest of my sig, most of that is sitting in the garage waiting for a pleasant day to install, maybe August...LOL.

I finally got my truck back today and it feels solid again. LOL. I went ahead and had them do the timing advance also.
Do you need a hand throwing your parts on the truck? The flares can be a PITA. I just happen to have an extra set of parts which you will need because you WILL ruin at least one of them by over-tightening.

Yeah, WTF? I asked dem bastages if they'd do it and they gave me the whole runaround about warranty, and if it was supposed to be done it would have been done at the factory... Whatever, they're pretty cool there though.

Sure, come on down...depending on what the weather is doing tomorrow. If it is too bad out I may do it on Sunday. Give me a call if you decided to help. I haven't got the lug nut for my wheels yet...hopfully today so I can get them on...it is so hard waiting.
