: HELP! Cannot find subwoofer enclosure deeper then 5"

I want to add some subwoofers to my 2005 CC under the rear seat. Due to the small area I have not been able to find a enclosure deeper then 5" mounting depth, which really limited my sub choices.

Anyone know where to get a depper sub enclosure?

i bought one off of ebay. it wasnt the best but it worked. look for "sub box tian" get the 2 seperate boxes and fae them up. towards the seat.

i had 2 Rockfor Fosgate HX2 DVC 10's which have a 6 7/8 mounting depth.

Any word on the Pioneer Premier Flat Subs? THey have a VERY shallow mounting depth. I also just looked at the JL w3 version 2. It has a 5.75" mounting depth. Hope this helps....I too am going through this same dilemma as I only want 1 sub, not 2. But without the room for a high powered 12" Like a JL or Eclipse I dont think the 1 sub option will work with the KC.

I'll be making a custom-molded single 10" sub box that fits 6" depth drivers very soon.

A buddy and I made one the other day. Neither one of us have any box experience, but I wasn't willing to kick out the $$$ for a professional made one. He had some 3/4" boards that he lying around that came off an old entertainment center. They are particle/press boards but they had the "wood" lamanent on them. I put 3 coats of Kilz then 3 coats of Rustoleum Hammered paint. I dressed it up with some racing striped strips. We did a lot of guess and check work and finally pieced it together. In the end, we should have gone back and remade it b/c of all of the addon pieces of wood and alterations that we made along the way. It's all pieced together with sheet rock screws and Liquid Nails. It's not the pretties thing in the truck, but by no means is it "ghetto". (says my girlfriend) If this design works, we may build another one the RIGHT way down the road and carpet it. I'll post pictures when I can of the finished product. Oh, if you were wondering, I have an Orion 10" inside facing down.

The JL 10Wv2.4, is 10 inch sub with only 4.34 mounting depth. .0625 cu. ft. of volume recommended. I am currently desining a down fire box for one under drivers seat. Will only be about .5 cu. ft. but should work.

Aite 808_Titan...here's some photo's at this link. It fits nicely and I think it will sound good. It's not too often that I see box's that aren't carpeted, so I think that's kinda cool. Really, I'm just making excuses for my ghetto box. I'll go to Circuit City in a few weeks and have it wired up. Enjoy, and be kind...

I actually love the look of it. Its different and a little understated. I think most people would mistake it for a toolbox or storage compartment.
