What a day. They should keep me away from tools. The front install was some kind of ordeal. I'm embarrassed to say it took me 5 hrs to do the first side. Kinda tough working alone. It was 70 deg. at 6 AM, and proceeded to top out at 95. Could have used extra hands at several points. The second side went in in an hour, including tires & sway bar. Then I got to Sears (ugh) for a late afternoon alignment.
Can't stress enough the importance of keeping the steering knuckle and the upper a-arm tied together with wire. On the first side, I didn't.
Will post pics to my gallery later.
Pics are up!
On the bright side, It seems much taller than I expected. I have yet to do the back.
This evening I clay-barred the entire cab section (smooth!), and waxed and glazed her as well.
Full day, I think.
