: The Negotiations Begin! Pro4x!
colochoclab 02-25-2008, 01:07 PM Well, here I go into the abyss...
Starting to talk to Boulder Nissan about trading in my '04 SE Crew on a '08 Pro4x Crew. Rebates are good, so we'll see what happens! I have untill Nov. untill my lease expires, so time is on my side!
Boulder Nissan has done great service on my '04, so that's why they get 1st shot.

nmbronewinner 02-25-2008, 01:32 PM Good luck buddy, hope everthing works out in your favor!
HRTKD 02-25-2008, 01:37 PM Does Boulder Nissan have wireless Internet access in their customer lounge? Both you and JerDog have said their service has been very good. I might be willing to drive that far to get good service but I would have to make their lounge my office for the day.
Good luck on the negotiations! If you can't get what you want then I can recommend a broker here in the Denver area that can.
DevilDawg 02-25-2008, 03:48 PM might hang on a little longer and see what the 09's are gonna offer. I would be miffed if I got an 08 and the 09 had diesels.
types the guy who already traded his 04 for an 08.....LOL

I would wait for a diesel. The mileage isn't to great on my truck. Thing sure likes to drink gas!!
colochoclab 02-29-2008, 11:51 PM Are they forcasting a diesel next year? Or are they teasing again? The last I heard was 2010 at the soonest.
-Lab
I'm scared if we wait for a diesel we may never get another truck.
good luck colo

if they put a diesel in, it will prob make 700 lbs ot torque, but my money is on them leaving the same weak miata rear end in the truck...
colochoclab 03-14-2008, 05:58 PM Well, been talking with them, going around a bit, to get some real-ish numbers. Right now we are at, for a lease, is $397./mo for a 48 mo lease, I would need to put down 1st payment (typical), acquisition fee (typical), and taxes out of pocket (NOT typical).
I told them thanks, but I'm still shopping. BTW, it was on a 4x4 SE crew w/pop pkg, big tow and utility pkg. Not a pro4x. I asked what SE he was talking about, because their website does not show SEs in stock. He said he could get me any truck I wanted within the hour. Sounded a little funky to me. Maybe I'll prod him for more specifics. They seem real "hungry" to make a deal and time is on my side (for now).
I'll keep everyone posted!

P.S. Rodney, watch it with the Miata talk. The rears are not weak. Do a search to learn a little more. Mine is the orig rear and I tow an 8k trailer. (Lab now knocks on wood.) LOL!
vshortt 03-15-2008, 09:48 AM Nissan has already confirmed on several occasions that their first diesel offering in The States will be the 2010 Maxima. However, that doesn't necessarily mean that a Titan couldn't be released the same year. Although, if at all, I seriously doubt you'll see it before then. That said, I believe the soonest you'd see a diesel Titan is about 1 year and 7 months or so. I personally got tired of waiting.
Khoufek 03-16-2008, 02:06 AM would you all still want a diesel given the fuel price and that diesel is another .30$ higher than the best grade gasoline
Fox Delta 03-16-2008, 02:21 AM would you all still want a diesel given the fuel price and that diesel is another .30$ higher than the best grade gasoline
yep! diesel would have to be a lot more expensive before it was as expensive as gas on $$ per mile basis

They should fire the rep that said that. I had an '84 sentra diesel... man that thing ran like :3d_049:

At $4.00/Gal around Dallas...I would take gas over diesel anyday.
HRTKD 03-22-2008, 09:04 PM -------------Gas (87)-----Diesel
$ per gal......$3.10......$3.82
MPG...............16.........21
Cost/Mile......$0.19......$0.18
Using local pump prices it looks like diesel will be less expensive to use. My Titan just got 16 mpg on a trip into the mountains and back. A friend of mine drives a 2004 GMC Sierra with the Duramax that is chipped and has an aftermarket intake and exhaust. He gets about 21 mpg on similar trips.
The kicker is that the diesel engine will be more expensive to purchase and more expensive to maintain (more oil). But if you drive it enough (a lot!) it could cost less over the long run than the gasoline engine.

Even though they take about 15-16 quarts, using certain brands of oil (ex. Amsoil) you can go 15K-20K miles on a single change.
