: Carlisle Truck Nationals Meet
sleazymatt 03-13-2008, 10:42 AM Carlisle Truck Nationals
August 8th-10th
I would like to invite all members of the Club Titan family to the first official meeting at the Carlisle All Truck Nationals. Come out and spend some time hanging with the nicest Titan owners around (PA at least). The cost to enter will be $33/truck and that will give you admission for 2 people for the full weekend. There are no accomodations on-site but camping grounds are near by. Come out and join us for a day or 2 of fun, fanfare and good times. Please sign up below so that we can get an official tally of how many will be coming and whether or not you will be staying over. Although there are sure to be adult beverages around it is a family event so dont hesitate to bring the kids! Unfortunately pets are frowned upon so best to leave them at home (sorry Moe :( ) . Hope to see everyone there!!!!
Gates open daily at 7
Registration for Field participants 7-7 Friday, 7-5 Saturday
Activities...
Monster Truck Rides, Rock Crawling, The Chrome Shop Mafia (from Trick My Truck), burnout high/low dyno frame drag contests and a great swap meet

titanse05 03-13-2008, 12:56 PM If other people actually show up.......maybe I'll go
BiXLL 03-13-2008, 03:25 PM The wife and I would like to make this also, but its too far off for me to be able to commit.
slimjonesy 03-13-2008, 04:57 PM Im in for Saturday. We need to find out if we can get a spot together. Last year there was only a hand full of Titans and they were up on top the hill by the rock climbers.
Anyone going that does timing advances?

54warrior 03-13-2008, 06:43 PM How do i subscribe to this thread?
At the very top, above the first post is a "Thread Tools" button. It's an option in that menu.
Guys, I think maybe we should look into pre-registering as a club. If we get 25 people pre-registered before JULY 21 at $33 per truck or 2 people, they'll give us a 20x20 EZ UP tent to use!! There is mention of a $160 fee of some sort though, don't quite understand it. More info here :http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/guest/carclubs.asp
and here http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/pdf/Club_Brochure.pdf

slimjonesy 03-13-2008, 09:07 PM I know its early but we REALLY need to figure out a place to meet before the entrance so we can all roll in at once. Can you imagine some of the other domestic guys faces when we roll up in there 30 strong in a line! LMAO that would be priceless.
graystang 03-13-2008, 09:35 PM Sweetness..... I get laid off june 25. I have 6 months of unemployment. I AM IN, I will prob come home the 10th and rest the 11th is my lil brother's 21st bday. it will be a long week for him. HAHA

TitanBlue 03-14-2008, 07:00 PM I recall a couple very large Truck Stops, located near the hotels in Carlisle. I was up there about 2 years ago for just a couple days. That could be a nice (or very crowded) place to meet up and convoy from. Anyone know the places I'm alluding to? :)
BiXLL 03-14-2008, 07:03 PM I recall a couple very large Truck Stops, located near the hotels in Carlisle. I was up there about 2 years ago for just a couple days. That could be a nice (or very crowded) place to meet up and convoy from. Anyone know the places I'm alluding to? :)
There are 3 large truck stops right off the turnpike exit. Petro, Pilot and Flying J.
TitanBlue 03-14-2008, 07:22 PM That's them! We could maybe meet up for an early breakfast at the truck stop. I plan on coming up real early and resting there.
54warrior 03-14-2008, 07:23 PM I'm sure if we have enough people committed before hand, they'll maybe have an area roped off for us that we can all show up whenever and have a place to park in the designated "Nissan Titan" area???
BiXLL 03-14-2008, 07:52 PM That's them! We could maybe meet up for an early breakfast at the truck stop. I plan on coming up real early and resting there.I would recommend the Petro then. They have probably the largest lot, and they have a sit down restraunt, The Iron Skillet" or something like that.
trckwsh01 03-14-2008, 10:21 PM Put me on the list!!
sledgie 03-14-2008, 10:53 PM anyone herd from Troutstitan?

slimjonesy 03-15-2008, 05:25 AM I live about 20 minutes from Carlisle, i will take a ride up there this weekend and find a place for us to meet.
I am in desperate need of a lift.............................................. ............:love-sick-big:
07sMoKeTiTaN 03-16-2008, 08:14 AM Well add another bad azz titan to the list. I have not been to a meet yet so this will be the one. Me and the wife could use a day or 2 away from the everyday events.
SLIMJONESY is in need of a lift and I so badly want to drop my rear level with the front.
I think I may bring my leftover OEM parts incase someone wants to trade. OEM Air intake that was pulled 2 weeks after I got the truck.. OEM Tail Lights and and OEM head lamp. I baked the other one and poened it but never did anything else to it.
slimjonesy 03-16-2008, 08:17 AM Yea, im ordering my lift this weekend! My wife says no, but i say WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE up up and away!!
07sMoKeTiTaN 03-16-2008, 08:24 AM Yea, im ordering my lift this weekend! My wife says no, but i say WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE up up and away!!
HAHAHAHAHA... If I did that again my wife would say pack pack pack and get out.. Just bought a new house and we got nailed for about $2k in taxes. In the future I guess.
slimjonesy 03-16-2008, 08:32 AM We are looking for a house now, so i have to have all my fun before i go broke!
BiXLL 03-16-2008, 08:44 AM We are looking for a house now, so i have to have all my fun before i go broke!GREAT time to buy if you have a secure job! Also, may not be my place to say, but you might want to rethink spending the amount of what the lift is against her will. She could make life miserable, where truck would just remain a present hieght...........?
slimjonesy 03-16-2008, 08:52 AM Been at my job for 14 years and she is a stay at home mom. Im not spending 2,000 on a lift, im getting it for about $900.
Beside should i really being taking advice from you??

BiXLL 03-16-2008, 08:58 AM LOL, my wife is a little different then most. She thinks the truck is hers and comes up with suggestions for mods! When gas started going up, I mentioned maybe we should think about selling it and she said "aint no way your getting rid of my truck"!!!!
slimjonesy 03-16-2008, 09:01 AM LOL, my wife is a little different then most. She thinks the truck is hers and comes up with suggestions for mods! When gas started going up, I mentioned maybe we should think about selling it and she said "aint no way your getting rid of my truck"!!!!
LOL, thats great. My wife loves our truck also.
54warrior 03-16-2008, 11:29 AM anyone herd from Troutstitan?
Jason you remember the turnpike convoy, he was singing
"I can't drive over 55!"
Hahaha... or was it 45??
He responded on TT and sounded interested!
sleazymatt 03-17-2008, 08:32 AM im lovin all the response!!! glad to see u guys are getting as pumped as i am
Broseph 03-17-2008, 09:35 AM I'm there. You talked me into it when we met for the wheels/tires, Slim.
07sMoKeTiTaN 03-17-2008, 09:47 AM LOL, my wife is a little different then most. She thinks the truck is hers and comes up with suggestions for mods! When gas started going up, I mentioned maybe we should think about selling it and she said "aint no way your getting rid of my truck"!!!!
See now thats great. My wife loves the truck too but with the gas being the way it is she is like just take my car blah blah blah..
We actually took a new G36 out for a spin and man was that car quick and responsive. They did not even pay off my truck, I would have taken like a $6k hit. So well then time to buy a beater and leave "SWAY" sit.
If I could do it all over again I would not have gotten the Titan. I rather have the EXTRA$$$$ to throw into my new home and finish the garage + the basement and all that jazz.
Too late now. I would take a even bigger hit on the truck. I love her to death but I wont lose money.
Well I do hope to meet most of you in person at the meet.
Take care
dsauer22 03-25-2008, 04:38 PM I plan on attending this year. Been a few years since i was there, but it was a good time last time out!

graystang 03-26-2008, 05:03 PM Are you guys still planning on going to NC for that big meet? it is the 7th and 8th i think. I am supposed to work but contemplating taking off. i get laid off June 25th so i might as well use my time up.
54warrior 03-26-2008, 05:05 PM I'm not planning on the Rockingham meet.

dsauer22 04-01-2008, 09:54 AM Not gonna make it now. My wife is due on August 13th....so that is a little too close. Doubt i would ever live down missing the birth of my first child b/c i was at a truck show!!! Maybe next year.
sledgie 04-01-2008, 03:38 PM Bring her along. maybe you'll get lucky and she'll pop while you're there in the back of some tricked out rig. that would be great.

Are you coming to Carlisle?
rpeles 05-12-2008, 05:00 PM Hi -- I'd like to sign up to go to the All Truck Nationals, but I can't find the $33 rate. Is there a link for this? Am I to assume this is the fun field? RP
sledgie 05-12-2008, 08:23 PM we need too start a list on who all is going. looks like $40 each unless we go for the "Club Tent". Its free for 25 entries, $160 if under 25 trucks. I think this would be a good idea. see the link for details.
http://store.carlisleevents.com/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=CE&Category_Code=CAN8
TitanBlue 05-12-2008, 08:46 PM I will sign up tommorow at their site. Still plan on it just being myself for Saturday only. Coming to town very early...
Getting 25 would be good, but I haven't seen that much interest, more likely about a dozen. But shoot for the sky and maybe you'll hit the moon! :)
UPDATE: Good idea Sladgie, I'll put up for th e tent too. Great for us to have a "home". Let's do it!
sledgie 05-12-2008, 08:51 PM even if we only get twelve that would be an extra $13 each for the reserved area and tent. there is no shade thier and last year it was blazing hot! i would have paid $50 for the tent.
jerrystrickland 05-12-2008, 08:54 PM i"ll be there for the club tent just need to know where to meet every body at so we can drive in as a group. that would be cool we need clubtitan stickers for every body
sledgie 05-12-2008, 09:03 PM we'll find somewhere to meet. thats how we rolled last year.
21! if everone shows! let make it 25 and get the tent free!

54warrior 05-12-2008, 10:06 PM what do we need to do to get the tent? is there a pre-sign up sorta thing or what?
sledgie 05-12-2008, 10:40 PM i emailed them earlier this evening for some details
was240 05-13-2008, 08:34 AM Once we get the details about signing up and payment done then we can work on the food issue. I can bring my webber q and some goodies. But I guess this will be a topic for the future.....
54warrior 05-13-2008, 09:29 AM Also, seen you posted this on TT sledge. We probably should make sure that everyone registers under the same "club" or we're not gonna meet the 25 req. if 2/3 register as clubtitan and 1/3 register as titantalk or mightytitans, etc..
rpeles 05-13-2008, 12:04 PM Hi -- I suggest when we register, we register for the fun field, under "Club Titan." Also, having gone to several events at Carlisle, you don't really need to meet up outside the field, because when you drive in, you are directed to a gravel parking lot where you pick up your packet and windshield sticker. You are then directed to the parking area for your vehicle. So, they will park us together if we register as a club. Also, if you want, as you are driving in, you can stop and wash your truck -- they have a paved area with hoses and buckets. As far as driving to the event, I recommend not driving in on US 11, as the traffic will be backed up on Friday and Saturday mornings -- it will take you about an hour at least to get in -- instead, get off I-81 at Exit 57 ( the exit between the exits for Wertzville Road and US 11 ) and take Rt. 114 through Carlisle Springs into the show field. This way takes you right to the gate. You will drive for 15 minutes or so, but you won't wait in any traffic. A good place to meet is the turn-out on Rt. 114 right after getting off I-81. If you are taking the Turnpike, you have no alternative but to get off the Turnpike and drive into the traffic back-up, so you might want to avoid the Turnpike, or exit earlier and get onto Rt. 114. RP
was240 05-13-2008, 12:17 PM ^^^^ Sounds like you have been there a couple of times....
TitanBlue 05-13-2008, 06:27 PM Sledgie, just tell us how you want us to register and we will do it. Don't need to vote on it, just do as you say. lol. :)
sledgie 05-13-2008, 09:02 PM still waiting for an email response. that's one of the questions i asked. as soon as i find out I'll post.
sledgie 05-14-2008, 10:10 PM heres thier response:
Hi Dave,
New clubs that want to participate or clubs that didn't meet the 25 vehicle requirement last year will need to make a $160 pre-payment. If the club meets the 25 vehicle requirement this year, (based on Carlisle Events' computer registration records), the prepaid tent fee of $160 will be reimbursed after the event to the club official who initiated the arrangements.
The $160 pre-payment fee is waived for clubs that met the 25 vehicle requirement last yearThe deadline to rent a club tent during the Truck show is July 21st. I ask that ALL club members register under the FULL club name so that I may give credit to the club and the rental fee may be returned. Also the club tent form only needs to be filled out by one club member.i have enclosed the club tent form. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me
Thank you
TitanBlue 05-14-2008, 10:24 PM So, what is the Club name you want us to use?
Where do we send a deposit to you to get this tent rented?
I don't want you losing money in handling the Paypal fees or whatever. How do you want to do this?
sledgie 05-15-2008, 09:33 AM I guess to keep is simple "Club Titan".
I'll take care of the deposit, no big deal. if we don't get 25 we can square up at the meet.
I'll let you guys know when you can send your registration fee in. I have to submit the "Club Titan" application first.
VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Remember each member must register individually for the show
field. Be sure that they list their club name when registering. A
club organizer can collect the registration forms and mail them
together, or they can be mailed by each individual member.
Payment must accompany each registration in order for that individual
to be considered pre-registered. Each event brochure
includes a show field registration form, and you can also register
online at CarlisleEvents.com.
rpeles 05-20-2008, 10:15 AM I registered today for the Carlisle All Truck Nationals on the non-judged fun field, designating "Club Titan" as the name of the club. See you there!
By the way, there are four different threads for this event, it took a while to find this one. Maybe the Northeast threads could be somehow combined so its easier to find this one as we get closer to the event.

Sledge, you remember that roll of black vinyl I have? Well, I'm gonna trade it for an 8'W x 3'H banner, white, and some simple vinyl decals for on it. This is what I came up with...
Speak now or forever hold your peace, I'll be sending the vector file to the vinyl guy this week if everyone's cool w/ it.
TitanBlue 06-01-2008, 04:27 PM That's a Winner! Simplicity at its best! Great Clarity....yeah, I like it. :)

TitanBlue 06-29-2008, 07:42 PM I have not received anything from them. Should I have a ticket by now?
54Warrior, I'm embarassed! Get signed up! :)
graystang 06-30-2008, 12:21 PM Hey guys, this sounds like a blast. I wish I could make it, but unfortunately I am now laid off, I don't know if I will have money for gas to drive out there. Plus my cuz has an MMA fight in yougstown OH on Aug 9th that I am going to, to be in his corner.
Have fun, I can't wait for pics.
Titantruckguy 07-06-2008, 01:03 PM Does anyone object to me putting my armada in beside my titan. I've done some things too it just not as much as the titan.
sledgie 07-06-2008, 03:04 PM the more the marier!
I hope we get a good turn out. hasn't been alot of action on this thread lately?
TitanBlue 07-06-2008, 04:02 PM Some of us are paid up! Hint hint,
I still haven't received anything from Carlisle, has anyone else? I should have an Email confirmation of paying, but no package. ???
Yeah, we need to start bumping this up, and hope all show up who said they will.
Cosby always said "the proof is in the pudding!" :)
sledgie 07-06-2008, 06:12 PM i got the reciept for the tent, thats all.
I'll e-mail them and ask.
54warrior 07-06-2008, 08:27 PM I got the banner, still need to register though.

Hi Dave,
If you have registered online you will NOT receive a receipt. Once you click on check out online, and the payment has been processed you will have an option to print a receipt. I do however show your name on the Truck registration database, so you should be good to go.
If you need anything else, please let me know.

was240 07-07-2008, 11:49 AM Hey Dave... I wonder if he would be able to email you closer to the end date of the qty and names of people that have registered for the event under the clubtitan club... Also I just received my work schedule and it looks like I have off. I am working on trying to get us some food at a discounted price if not free. I will try to keep everyone informed.
was240 07-10-2008, 11:43 AM Does anyone remember if they had good prices on tires last year? I am in need of a set and was planning on getting them with in the next 2 weeks... If they have them there at a great (and I mean really great) price I was going to wait and get them there. Anyone remember????
titanse05 07-10-2008, 01:05 PM If you haven't already, you may want to share this event with the other boards.
I'm not 100% sure yet if I'm going.
was240: I was at this event 2 years ago and was dissappointed with lack of good tire deals. There was a Procomp tire dealer there then and they were doing the Buy 3 get 1 free deal......but after they jacked up the cost of the other three tires the cost from a local dealer was the same if not cheaper due to the cost of mounting/balancing.
Also, I was dissapointed in the lack of stuff to buy at the event.......I left empty handed with a pocket full of cash. If I attend it will be to get together with everyone again.
NJTitanCC 07-13-2008, 11:36 PM where is everbody staying (hotels) looks the cheapest hotels are booked up .. I want to go but at $189.00 a night ...... plus gas holy ?$%*
rpeles 07-14-2008, 02:25 PM Attended the All-Chrysler Nationals this weekend. We stayed in Grantville (near Hershey) at the Hampton Inn -- $165.00 !!! Everything in the immediate Carlisle area was about $300 per night. The hotels are taking advantage, and there are no discounts due to high gas prices as in other areas. They have you and they know it.
On another note, I saw the 09 Ram at the event. Its a nice truck but it looks like a cross between an 1994 Ram and a current F-150. The interior looks much like a current F-150. Its not the great leap forward, and for Nissan, building a "Titan" out of it will not be anywhere comparable to the current Titan. Coil Springs in the rear? Even GM abandoned that approach in the seventies! I'm afraid the next Titan will be akin to what Mitsubishi (Raider) does with the Dakota.
One last thing -- bring lots of water, cold water. It was HOT! Even with my quick shade on the hill with the breeze, it was HOT. Its the first Carlisle event I've attended and not walked the flea market rows. Too HOT !!
RP
Titantruckguy 07-20-2008, 07:56 PM I got my 2 registered for the show. Someone will have to let me know if were meeting up somewhere else and rolling in together.
was240 07-20-2008, 08:49 PM I just registered for the event. Just a reminder to anyone thinking registering.... According to their website Carsatcarlisle.com registration fee will increase tomorrow from 40 to 50 dollars.
Can we also get a list going of people that have registered so we can have an idea of #'s and to see how much we may owe Dave for the tent.
Bill are you still thinking about going???
psutitan 07-20-2008, 09:10 PM Don't miss this event fellas.......I am registering right now before fees go up!!!
A list of people who have signed up for this event would be great its right around the corner and hopefully we have a fairly large group.
sledgie 07-20-2008, 11:40 PM I'll email them and see if they can give me a list. we'll have to come up with a place and time to meet.
NJTitanCC 07-21-2008, 03:18 AM I Registered Today... I dont know here im going to Stay but .....
So how many does this make ?????????
54warrior 07-21-2008, 07:33 AM I just registered at 7:15 AM on the 21st, it was still $40.
slimjonesy 07-21-2008, 01:43 PM How many people are going this year? Ive been busy with moving in my house and i lost track of how many people where going. Jason, give me a call sometime so we can figure out where to meet.
Oh yea should i register in the fun field? I can do that at the gate right?
54warrior 07-21-2008, 02:07 PM How many people are going this year? Ive been busy with moving in my house and i lost track of how many people where going. Jason, give me a call sometime so we can figure out where to meet.
Oh yea should i register in the fun field? I can do that at the gate right?
Yes, register for the fun field, it was really easy to do it online though.
was240 07-21-2008, 02:11 PM I think after today it goes up 10 bucks. Check out their website and make your decision. Remember to register with the club name club titan so it counts towards the tent.
sledgie 07-21-2008, 06:08 PM i just recieved a reply from Toni at Carlisle.
here is the list that she has regestered under "Club Titan". It seems that alot more of you are regestered than what is on the list?? E-mail her if you have a discrepancy. toni@carlisleevents.com
TitanBlue 07-21-2008, 06:33 PM I put the word Pickup in my registration on purpose. I was drag racing awhile back, and the announcer didn't recognize what a Nissan Titan was, and announced me as a, a, a, pickup! LOL. :)
was240 07-21-2008, 06:55 PM Any word from Bill?
psutitan 07-21-2008, 10:17 PM I registered last night. Hopefully there are more than what carlisle sent you dave. What happened to all the member names that were on that original list?!? I know some people are now unfortunately unable to make it but seems as though we should have more, I hope.
sledgie 07-21-2008, 10:31 PM I think there is alot more registered than she has on the list.
Everyone needs to post on here if they are registered, or pm me your name, ect. and i will try and strieghten this out.
Jason, can you check the other forums to see what thier tally is?
NJTitanCC 07-21-2008, 10:58 PM Im Registered .. Saturday only (so Far) if I can find hotel stay longer
trckwsh01 07-22-2008, 02:47 AM I'm on the list shown (Kohler)
54warrior 07-22-2008, 06:53 AM The only name I can add to the list is mdesmaraisva from TT. I sent a PM to several members over there as a reminder.
titanse05 07-22-2008, 08:48 PM I'm still unsure wether I'm making this trip or not.
I'll probably end up going though.......it's been awhile since I joined up with a large group of Titans.
NJTitanCC 07-25-2008, 10:44 PM bump 4 Updates
sledgie 07-25-2008, 11:04 PM The gates open at 7am. Why don't we meet at Arby's. it's between Rt76 and Rt81 exits.
http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&q=restaurants&near=US+Route+11,+Carlisle,+PA&fb=1&sa=X&oi=local_group&resnum=1&ct=image
Anyone coming from the West? Lets figure out a convoy. It's about 3hrs- from Latrobe. I figue on leaving at 4am, meeting at Arby's 6:30-7am.
BiXLL 07-26-2008, 08:14 AM Arbys has a small lot, you might be better off accross the street at the Iron Skillet. It is part of the Truck Stop (Petro) and has a huge lot. Sat. morning it should not be overcrowded with trucks.
TitanBlue 07-26-2008, 08:34 AM I like the idea of the Iron Skillet too. But I like truck stops anyway. I'll get there early and snooze. They can have good breakfast's, sometimes Buffets that are really good.
More opinions...
54warrior 07-26-2008, 09:39 AM Iron Skillet works for me. I'll be heading over on Saturday morning as it's only about 1 hr from my place. I think my Dad will be tagging along this trip, he's looking forward to it.
What time do you want to meet there? I'll pass this info along to TT and MT members once a time has been set.
was240 07-26-2008, 09:53 AM Dave not sure if I will join you in the ride down this year. The g-f and I might just stay with her sister in harrisburg.. I will let you know closer to the event.

buzzkillwill 07-28-2008, 01:27 PM Looks like you all will have a good turn out. I have a free ticket to an event, so I might be able to stop by.
For those traveling from far away places and looking for lodging, you can try to look in the Mechanicsburg area-Route 15 area. There are several hotels along 15 near the turnpike. I know there's a Rodeway Inn on 15 in a town called Dillsburg. And the place next door has the BEST breakfast.
08silverbullet 07-28-2008, 06:13 PM I'll be there all weekend, its my vacation

TitanBlue 07-29-2008, 07:30 PM I give in! I got me a room for Fri and Sat night. It is at the:
Comfort Inn West (PA409)
6325 Carlisle Pike (US 11) , Mechanicsburg, PA, US, 17050
Phone: (717) 790-0924 Fax: (717) 691-9385
It was 81.00 a night. More than I want to pay, but looks decent, great location. Hate to arrive or leave tired. I'll just come striaght from work on Friday, so should be in town by 8 or 9. Able to be ontime and awake, for breakfast Saturday morning. :)
NJTitanCC 07-30-2008, 08:47 PM hey TitanBlue Im staying in the same Comfort inn. see you their im check in late friday ...

TitanBlue 07-31-2008, 06:58 PM hey TitanBlue Im staying in the same Comfort inn. see you their im check in late friday ...
I hope to be there about 6 or 7. Depends on if I can get off work a couple hours early. About a 3 hour drive I think, with Baltimore traffic to get around. I'll be looking for you!
titanse05 07-31-2008, 09:35 PM Just registered online.
FYI: Online registration for the show will close at 5pm on Monday (8/4); make sure to register online to avoid waiting in line.
Now all I have to do is start to detail the truck........I'm gonna start with the engine bay. lol It's a good thing that I did a through wash/clay bar/polish/seal job on my truck two weeks ago. I won't have to spend a lot of time cleaning it for this meet.
I got a couple small mods to do to........I'm going to do them and see if anyone notices.
54warrior 07-31-2008, 09:41 PM Should we get some kinda tickets or something in the mail or what???
Now all I have to do is start to detail the truck........
I thought we were going to Rausch Creek on Friday to get 'em all muddy first?!?!?!
sledgie 08-01-2008, 12:40 AM I think were still holding at 18. Not a bad turn out at all. I wonder if was240 got any of the Frontier guys to join?
I will email Toni on Monday to try and clear up any confusion on entering the park. recipts, vouchers, etc.
I do have the voucher for the tent so we will be made in the shade.
anyone coming from the west via the turn pike?
psutitan 08-01-2008, 06:47 AM My buddy is just going to ride with me now. He has a wedding on friday night which he is in and is most likely going to be hung over. So he is just gonna ride.
I am going to start to detail the truck on sunday while that lady is at a baby shower. It needs it bad inside and out. I am excited this should be a great event.
titanse05 08-01-2008, 07:33 AM When I signed up, there was an -018 at the end of the initial number. So maybe that is how many are under the Club Titan club name?
Should we get some kinda tickets or something in the mail or what?I'm guessing that we should get something in the mail next week....hence the monday deadline.

Hi Dave,
I show 14 members registered as of this weekend. However if the club members registered in last 14-48 hours, it will not show on my count yet.
If a member does not have a receipt no problem. The information will be saved in the computer and the showfield will be able to search by name.
I hope this helps!

2005 NISSAN TITAN
That's me.....and I registered on July 31st
IMO, we shouldn't need the 20'x20' EZ tent. I got a 10'x10' EZ tent that I'm bringing and I know a couple others have some as well that we could put together. I wouldn't want to pay for another tent that I've already bought and paid for and can set up myself in 10 minutes.
sledgie 08-04-2008, 04:38 PM Its not only for the tent. it is to reserve a spot in the Fun Field so we can all park together. Unless we all arrive at the same time it won't happen. I paid for the tent. If you guys want to pitch in to help pay for it thats great, if not, no big deal.
titanse05 08-04-2008, 04:49 PM Oh that's how they have it setup........that's dumb!
I'll pitch in.....what's another $10 anyway.......it just seems that they should section an area off for each of the clubs that are signed up PERIOD. It's not like we weren't already dishing out $50 to begin with.
Anyway, can't wait to get there and meet some new faces.
was240 08-04-2008, 04:51 PM for the number of people that we have it would only cost us a couple bucks. Plus I think they set the tent up for us.... One less headache...
On a side note. Is anyone bringing their girl with them?

I am bringing my dad and two of my buddies along.
Are we allowed to bring ice-cold refreshements in? and food?
titanse05 08-04-2008, 04:53 PM I'm bringing my Dad and brother........the wife is going shopping with her mother so I don't have to keep her entertained!!!!!
I think that you can take whatever you want into the event.......even adult beverages. But I'm not 100% sure about the adult beverages.
54warrior 08-04-2008, 04:58 PM I think that you can take whatever you want into the event.......even adult beverages. But I'm not 100% sure about the adult beverages.
Just checked:
ALCOHOL POLICY
Sale of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted; however, disorderly or intoxicated persons will not be tolerated. Furnishing of alcoholic beverages to minors is prohibited. Pennsylvania State Law considers anyone under the age of 21 a minor. No glass bottles.
sledgie 08-04-2008, 05:02 PM That was one of the first questions i asked Toni. YES beer is allowed.:)
I was thinking about bringing the turkey fryer. not sure if thats allowed?? I'll send her another e-mail.
she must be gone for the day. we'll find out tomorrow.

Titantruckguy 08-05-2008, 11:28 AM Is anyone coming on friday? We are meeting at 630 at the iron skillet and rolling in to the fairgrounds together, right? Just wanted to be sure I had it correct.

I'm planning on being at the Iron Skillet at 7.
Orrstown??? I bought a quad there once, from this place called ATV Addiction. I drove 3 hours just to get that quad there.
rpeles 08-05-2008, 12:36 PM Will drive from home on Sat. a.m., will get there as early as possible, but won't make the Iron Skillet. See you all at the show grounds. I'm looking forward to it. RP
PenguinLE 08-05-2008, 02:09 PM I'm undecided... My wife is ditching me to go hang out with a bunch of Italian ladies speaking gibberish in NY, NY.
Of course, I'd be showing up in either a Tundra or a Mustang. Is that a problem? (I'm leaning toward the Mustang now that I've got my suspension issues worked out finally)

Yep it's right down the road from the house. it's closed now.

(I'm leaning toward the Mustang now that I've got my suspension issues worked out finally)OMG......you already know that it doesn't matter what you bring! I'd prefer the stang.......got to see the new headers....and hear them too. But you wouldn't be able to drive that in the gates this weekend. The Tundra would be a nice compliment to the Titans too.

All are welcome (except Ridgelines) it would be good to see you. YOu might feel a little out of place driving a car into one of the biggest truck shows in the country.lol
NJTitanCC 08-05-2008, 07:24 PM Hey I emailed Toni .. response the 2 questions i asked
The club is welcomed to bring a grill along, as long as you don't have an open fire.
ATV and bikes of any kind are prohibited during the show, sorry :(
Yes I will be here ALL weekend!! :) I will be sure to stop by Friday night or Saturday during the day:)

NJTitanCC 08-05-2008, 07:46 PM I was cruising the Website and i found something I hope it helps and i dont step on (Sledgie feet) I think this is the official Tent spots ... as of 7/30/08
Hi. Since someone asked, here is the list of official club tents and their locations, space numbers are approximate...
To help you, here is a map http://home.ptd.net/~rcbrehm/Carlisle_Map_SF.jpg
Blow it up to about 125% and it is easy to read.
Let's start with the row inside Gate 3 next to Subway going toward Gate 2...
Mason Dixon: Q87-Q110
ITE: Q73-Q86
Subsonic Kustomz: Q52-Q72
Now the front row coming in Gate 3...
(these will also include the spaces in IN that match up with row IO)
Purple Helmet Surfers: IO 1 - IO 15
Divise Rides: IO 16 - IO 27
Ford Truck World: IO 28 - IO 50
Just below those two rows inside Gate 3...
Get Bored: IM 1 - IM 10 (and IL match)
North of the main entrance near the main crossroads...
BMS Performance: NC/ND 1 - 7
Natural High: NC/ND 8 - 13
Titan Club: NE/NF 3 - 15 {------------------------------------*********
Mid-Atlantic Ford trucks: NG/NH 1 - 17
The east side of the infield...
Full Size Chevy: IO 61 - 80 (IN matching)
TrailVoy: IM 57 - 77 (IL matching)
Cumberland Valley High Rollers: IM 78 - 90 (IL matching)
AcrophobiA: IO 91-102 (IL matching)
Chevy Truck World: IK 63-76 (IJ matching)
Exceeding Limits: IK 77-102 (IJ matching)
///Relaxed Atmosphere: IK 102-113 (IJ matching)
Mid-Atlantic Early Broncos: II 70-98
O SO LOW: II 99-121
Between Building R and the Stage...
Triple Diamond 4-Wheelers: IC 37-59 (IB matching)
Toward Gate 6...
VC4Life: CC 1-7 (matching CC 49-55)
I think I have two clubs not on here yet. They will be near the VC group in the next two island toward Gate 6. We have 7 new clubs this year! So that's a good sign for the show - I hope
See you soon!

titanse05 08-05-2008, 08:26 PM Cool....that seems like a good location.
psutitan 08-05-2008, 08:33 PM I am excited, I have been cleaning my truck all week. Friday after work is going to be a long evening of more cleaning
On a side note about Adult Beverages. I have 4 cases of samuel adams bottles that I am looking to sell, they are from my wedding $15 a case. PM me if interested, first come first serve.
54warrior 08-05-2008, 09:10 PM Cool....that seems like a good location.
Yeah, pretty much in the center of it all, or so it seems...I've never been there before.

I only drink top shelf beer. Ice House lite
It looks to be a excellent location. Maybe the best way to get tho K st. is to turn on Calvery rd. and circle around
titanse05 08-06-2008, 10:12 AM Yeah, pretty much in the center of it all, or so it seems...I've never been there before. Not really in the center, but not in the worst location like on the hill.

titanse05 08-06-2008, 05:13 PM On a bad side note....a mod went horribly wrong for me today. Hopefully I'll get it fixed tomorrow at the body shop.
I should know better than to mod the week of a meet!
sledgie 08-06-2008, 05:53 PM what you do?
PenguinLE 08-06-2008, 05:54 PM I don't see a spot for any Tundra clubs, and I feel weird about bringing either Mustang, so I might have to pass on this one.
The NMRA series is at Atco Raceway this weekend, so I might do that.
...I miss having a Titan.
titanse05 08-06-2008, 05:58 PM You don't have to have a Titan to be in the Tundra Club........
PenguinLE 08-06-2008, 06:13 PM I'd feel weird parking a Tundra next to Titans though. Personally, I like mostly all trucks, but some people are nuts about brands and they get pissy about it.
titanse05 08-06-2008, 06:24 PM Then bring the Stang and park outside the gate in one of a million places to park. There are places that you can pay to park in church parking lots, or park along the street if you're there early.
TitanBlue 08-06-2008, 07:45 PM It's a people thing! If somebody doesn't like our Titan buddies Tundra, we will show them the door! Come on out, we need you! :)
titanse05 08-06-2008, 08:06 PM N/M...................see everyone on Saturday!
trckwsh01 08-06-2008, 08:21 PM I'd feel weird parking a Tundra next to Titans though. Personally, I like mostly all trucks, but some people are nuts about brands and they get pissy about it.
I have no problem with it. The more the better!
sledgie 08-06-2008, 09:08 PM I think Red told him he wasn't allowed to drive her truck.lol
NJTitanCC 08-06-2008, 09:10 PM Hey MATT ;; Bring the Stang and will put you in the middle of the pack.. like a show piece .......
titanse05 08-06-2008, 10:33 PM I think Red told him he wasn't allowed to drive her truck.lolNahhhh, he's going to play with the Stang crowd.
PenguinLE 08-07-2008, 10:21 AM Most of the folks associated with the NMRA are a bunch of jerkweeds, so I'm leaning toward heading to this meet. Maybe I'll pay some lot boy (at a church or something) for 2 parking spots and then give him a 50 spot to watch the beast while I walk around.
The Tundra is dirty... My shop vac need a new filter and Elisa has washed it in like a month, so it's a LOT of work to make it presentable. My mustang ha s aleaf on it last week, but that emergency has been averted and the leaf has been punished.
Titantruckguy 08-07-2008, 10:27 AM This rain is really put a kink in my cleaning plans for my titan. it's been raining off and on all day so far. Is anyone coming on friday, just wondered if I would be the only one there.
PenguinLE 08-07-2008, 10:34 AM Anyone caravaning from the East on Saturday?
titanse05 08-07-2008, 12:49 PM My mustang ha s aleaf on it last week, but that emergency has been averted and the leaf has been punished.LMAO! You are killing me here!
rpeles 08-07-2008, 05:18 PM Guys -- Carlisle isn't going to allow a car on the fun field at the truck nationals-- they won't even take your money for it. As for a Tundra, they will assign it to be parked with the other Tundras. Best thing to do is hitch a ride in with another Titan or you'll have to pay to park and pay a spectator fee as well. RP
trckwsh01 08-07-2008, 05:31 PM As long as he registers under "Club Titan"(with a truck), he'll be in the Club Titan reserved area. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
NJTitanCC 08-07-2008, 06:39 PM I left a message with Toni Lehman at Carlisle Hopefully she calls back soon and Ill have an answer for MATT... Matt pm me with current Cell number or Ill PM u
sledgie 08-07-2008, 08:29 PM As long as he registers under "Club Titan"(with a truck), he'll be in the Club Titan reserved area. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong.
It doesn't matter what you drive to park at our tent, as long as it's not a Ridgeline.:puke:
titanse05 08-07-2008, 10:31 PM I've parked my truck and my car outside of the gates before and never had a problem. I've always gotten there before 10am and have been able to park along one of the streets close to the fairgrounds and didn't pay a dime. When you park on the streets you don't have to worry about others parking beside you.
sledgie 08-08-2008, 10:40 AM Do any of you local boys know if theres a car wash near the Iron Skillet. I'm sure there will be a line, hopfully not at the crack of dawn.
titanse05 08-08-2008, 10:57 AM Do any of you local boys know if theres a car wash near the Iron Skillet. I'm sure there will be a line, hopfully not at the crack of dawn. You'd be suprised...they usually have a couple hoses at the event......but as you can imagine those can get busy too.
sledgie 08-08-2008, 11:02 AM 150 miles on the turn pike, I'm gonna catch a few bugs. Add that it's black.. I won't make it down to the end of the street and it'll need a bath.
titanse05 08-08-2008, 11:33 AM 150 miles on the turn pike, I'm gonna catch a few bugs. Add that it's black.. I won't make it down to the end of the street and it'll need a bath.Detail spray is your friend!
rpeles 08-08-2008, 11:34 AM It will be kind of neat if the Tundra gets parked with the Titans -- it allows us to do a bit of direct side by side comparison. They're both really nice trucks. RP
titanse05 08-08-2008, 11:36 AM I haven't checked my mail yet today but I haven't got anything in the mail yet from the event. I'm guessing that we get something at the gate or is everything going to Dave?
What time is the convoy going to pass Somerset? I can join up!
