: Which Lift Kit is the best....?
Snitz4life 06-30-2005, 01:18 PM Looking for anyone who has experience with lifting their Titan.
Which lift out there is good? Looking to go about 6". There are so many to choose from.
Heard good things about the 7" CST and the 6" Procomp w/ coilovers? Also read about Fabtech and a few others.
Wondering if anyone can make a recommendation or if anyone has any horror stories about a particular lift. Knowing what not to get is almost as good as knowing what to go with!
Thanks!
RU2112SH 06-30-2005, 01:29 PM check out gregs (prg) lift with the fox coilovers and new upper a arms. Then in back the deaver spring helpers. Its 3.5 inch that's all go and still looks tough as hell. Others will probably have more info on this lift.
jaysplaypen 06-30-2005, 10:52 PM It will all depend on who you talk to. But alot of the horror stories will come from the install not the parts. I like the CST, but that is just me. I have had good experiences with them, but you never know what is going to happen, depending on the idiot that installs it.
Snitz4life 07-01-2005, 12:18 PM Where did you find those pages? I cant read them cause when I blow it up it gets all distorted. Do you have links to them?
I couldnt find them on the CST website??
What is the price difference between the 7 and 8?
DO you know?
THanks!
Snitz4life 07-01-2005, 12:21 PM Also, any recommendations for rear shocks....I've heard Bilstein 5100???
jaysplaypen 07-01-2005, 12:25 PM I got them from the custom shop that did my exhaust for the meet he is bringing out some lifted truck for us to see, and gave those to me.
If you click on them, does it open it in a new window. If so it may not open full size, but you can fix that. Go to Tools, internet options, on the advanced tab scroll down to multimedia and uncheck the box that say "enable automatic image resizing" then reload the picture. It will be in full size, and you can read it all. Or you can PM me your email address, and I can send them to you.
I am going to his shop today, so I could check prices, but they might not be that much help, being the labor rate in cali is usaully higher. but I will get them just as a jumping off point.
Redright9 07-01-2005, 12:27 PM From what I have heard also, the CST lift is a good one, the truck still can turn well with that lift also..I have seen some other lifts really cut the turning radius down..But as JPP said, make sure the place who installs it knows what they are doing!
Snitz4life 07-01-2005, 12:36 PM From what Ive heard the is no extra welding or cutting for that CST lift either. Is that right? Just purely bolt on?
For instance I heard the Fabtech lift requires a bunch of holes to be drilled or extra modifications?
LIke to avoid having someone drill holes in my truck if possilbe. Esp, if they don't know wtf they're doing.

Redright9 07-01-2005, 12:46 PM I love your avatar!! THats hillarious! But from what I remember, the CST lift you do have to cut the mount for the center support bearing for the drive line..Its almost a simple bolt in..But it is a little complicated then the other lifts..I think the fabtec is the easiest (from what I have heard, but others may know more then me..) but it also looses alot of turning.
jaysplaypen 07-01-2005, 12:51 PM actually red the those pages I have say NO welding or cutting required.

Well then, They must have changed the design some..All the ones I have done at a previous dealer, we had to cut...and by the way, QUIT POSTING!! Give me a chance to catch up! Rossi has been bugging me all week to talk the the exhaust guy for him, and make a deal, so I have other errands to run, so i will go there today to.
