Not at all referring to your fathers driving abilities but I raced a G35 the other day, from a light, and he never got closer than my bumper by 90mph... so you never know...

*bmw 335* the twin turboed sob is a bit faster. 0-60 in 4.8. the g35 takes 5.5. plus its almost a second quicker in the quarter. the g35 was a guess to the "most stolen" question. wanna see the bmw burn some runflat rubber!

VERY, VERY close. LOL

It's a G8. Stock they were putting down 13.7 in the 1/4 mile. 6.0L V8 with 361 hp. Put exhaust and did an ECM swap over the last couple of days. Monday the CAI comes in. Not sure how it's all going to run together. I guess we will see. LOL

Those G8s are the GTO replacement new Holden Monaro, right?

I believe it is the Holden VE Commodore. They are the replacement for the GTO. The GTO was only a short production run. A lot of people say it was a flop but that isn't really true. From the get go GM had decided to do a 3 year run and very limited production on them.

First time I saw the GTO's I thought it was a new grand prix. It had the muscle but not the looks. Almost a sleeper car.
And wow on the times for the Camry. That thing is moving!

the trip is quick its like 45 miles outside of Dallas... its not like driving to Houston or anything...

Lanespd and I live in McKinney which is about 30 miles on the other side of Dallas so its about 70 miles for us. I didn't realize it was open until 11:45, I'll think about it but it would be at least 8 before I could get out there. I'm usually exhausted on Fridays after a long week.

If your going to put your trust in a radar detector don't skimp, IMO. Bel RX-65, Escort 8500, and Valentine One all get top ratings depending on who is doing the test. All are in the same price range except for the V-1 which is about $100 more. My preference is the 8500 x50, its what I use.

My wife got me this detector for X-mas, she said she paid around $350 for it, but it was the Best in her Opinion. I think its Cool how it "Tells you" what band is detected.

I think it would be good for ALL of US (DFW Crue) to show up for support, even if you don't race.

I will be driving down from Carrolton ;) get off at 4:30 maybe earlier.

I plan on driving down from Fort Worth. Hopefully I'll be off around 4 or so.

I read some of the stuff you said your taking off for weight loss. The spare alone probably weighs 50lbs but thats weight on the back wheel for us trutrac envyers. I know Kingmade, Race Titan, 04TitanKC, and I will be running out there for sure. A few more titans on the track is never a bad thing.

Looks like the forcast for Friday May, 16th is a high of 78 and low of 57! I hope that forcast remains somewhat accurate. Once the sun sets if it drops into the 60's I might finally pull of a 13!!!!

So who want to head to my place before the track other than Kingmade and 04titankc? I'm getting a walk-thru in the ram air mod on my 08 and Kingmade is doing the burnout mod. I'm pretty sure that 04titan will be wanting to get rid of some the weight in his truck and I'll be cleaning out the garage to make some room for everything.

I would come just to hang out but I am coming from South so I would have to go past Ennis to come back. Gas prices I think the wife would kill me this time. We were in Fort Worth this last weekend, but in the Versa, which I will not be taking up there again, lol.

Yeah, Ive been watching the weather as it gets closer...hopefully the forcast will clear up better by then, at least the temps are gonna be good! If you can't make it, thats cool... Ill see if KINGMADE can let me use his DRs some of the night...

Hope the weather is perfect. I will be leaving work at 2:30 and should be a mikes before 4. To do the burnout mod and switch over to drag radials. Hopefully I will have a little something to show off when i get there ;)

the burnout mod helps a lot for heating up the slicks better, you should notice a diffrence..

We will probably only be there till around 5:40. I know we are going to shoot for getting to the track at 6:00.

Man, I sure hope RB makes it, it will almost be pointless for me to run without DRs...(I really gotta get TT and DRs!!) Although, if it is in the low 70s - high 60's after sunset I might be able to pull of a 14.2 or something...

you never know man... With juice I think hands down you'll be fastest, as long as your are as light as you can be, and can get good traction. However, if RB brings some DRs I feel like me and KINGMADE will be fighting for the fastest NA Titan... Who knows though.

I may miss truck wars. I crashed my ecu last night and don't know if I can get it fixed in time. The crash happened during my flash back to stock with osiris. First one to do it with the new program... hope they can recover my ecu and get me back up and running in time. :(

Sweet, by the time you get up and running we'll be back from the dyno and have you can hook cipher up to the truck to see what its doing on the way to the track. Looks like no more mini test and tune in the undeveloped part of my neighborhood. Nearby neighbors didn't like the smoke show, lol!

I cant believe how many of us came out last night! I think there were 11 of us overall. I had a blast, it was great seeing Ennis practically dead all night long with nothing but Titans tearing up the track.

I set a new record time for myself last night too! 3rd run of the night...no tailgate/backseats/stock 17" pizza cutter tires and NO TRUTRAC...

Me on the right vs. PlanoSER... if he had gotten better launches he might have run a mid 13. He did run some 13.9s... I love that Maxima.

It was a great night. Not nearly as bad as last time out. No humidty, no bugs, no crowds. I'm still in the 15's regardless if I have additional weight in the truck so my step bars, spare, and tailgate are going back on today or tomorrow. Glad that everyone got to put some faces to screennames. Sad to say but until I get a beta tune for the 08's I don't think I'll be doing anymore racing until later in the year. I think that my Volant exhaust is what is keeping me out of the 14's. I may get a magnaflow welded into my stock exhaust and see how it does.

I ended up driving home last night got to freeway and 2 hotel fully booked. Then headed South and the hotels would not even have someone at reception desk. Mind you this was 1:30am....LOL So I choked down my Starbucks double shot a snickers bar and did 120 for about 20minutes then I got warned when red & blue lights flashed from across the median. Lucky for me the wire was there between us.

MInd you my wife was a bit freaked out when a body showed up next to her at 3:30am.

Best run of night was 14.30 at 96 NA and 13.30 at 102 with the 80shot. race weight was 5380 FST carrying DR's and 5gallons of gas in bed.

well... that was the most fun I have had at the track..... ever :D have a crapton of videos. I am at my girls work right now, but will start working on a compilation when I get home. It will not be a huge production becuase I know everyone just wants to see them...

The track was DEAD. Could have run a hundred times if we wanted... it was awesome.
