: 7" widescreen tft/lcd screens installed
OSIEL 07-02-2005, 04:43 AM here is the completed install with two 7inch widescreen lcd/tft in the visor and rear console. the dvd player was installed under the rear seat in the center including a video amp. if anyone is interested in doing this mod its not all that hard just a little time consuming and a little bit of fiberglass.
QcTitan 07-02-2005, 08:26 AM Very nice!
I am considering the 7" screen in the visor and would like feedback on which brand/model you (or anyone else) have and if you would recommend it.
Good work Bro!
firecracker 07-02-2005, 09:21 AM Great work!!!
I was concerned that the one in the visor would be too heavy and cause it to "droop". Is this the case? any other problems with it yet?
Keep us posted.
a4bry4 07-02-2005, 09:35 AM Looks great!
Redright9 07-02-2005, 10:41 AM You can tell I am behind the times....I still think a fancy cd player with flashy lights is the coolest!! by the way, it looks really sweet, good job!
OSIEL 07-02-2005, 01:29 PM well i used an xovision 2808 tft/lcd widescreen and would happly recommend the picture quality. the visor does not hang down with the tv in it. i have not had any problems with the tv's. but i did have a problem with the picture qaulity coming from the dvd player which was fixed with a video amp output to provide more than enough signal to both screens.
oh and before i forget the only thing other than the mirror and light i had to remove was the small secondary visor.

TheDoc 08-01-2005, 12:44 PM 8)Nice sytem, but way too elaborate for my skill level or wallet. My factory rear system is able to listen to radio or cd separately (thru headphones) from front unit BUT, what is simpliest way to add a tv screen up in ceiling back there for dvds only?
Thanks for help anyone? Doc

You can buy a monitor and use the factory storage bin (some modification required) or you can get a Myron & Davis screen which is design to replace the factory storage bin for a factory look. Either way you still need to run audio/vedio cable to dvd player. All neccessary power wire is in the overhead console. You can hook up to factory harness and still keep the function of rear AV contoller.

Hi OSIEL, awesome looking setup you have there. One question though is where did you buy your video amp output? I'm not 100% satisfied with the picture on my 15" monitor that I installed and a video amp is probably exactly what I need to add.
