Ok this was my very first experience with the drag strip. It is in Greer SC its a 1/8 mile track. I absolutely had a blast. Here are pictures of the Time slips Mine and their times. Very hard to read.

My reactions are terrible as you can see but the power in the Titan still pulled off the wins.

I had a great time. You never seen so many rednecks upset. LOL. I had people coming over asking me what was in it and was it modded. How did you beat a Hemi. It was really really fun. I cant wait till next year now. I cant believe I never did this before. I will really work on my launch next year. What I got a kick out of was at the end of the race with the civic you hear some people in the back go OHH when the time posts. LOL

Definately Dale I believe they open back up in Feb. I just did make the last night. Wish I had gone before now. I fell in love with it. Now all I'm thinking about is how can I make it quicker.

I can't tell by the tape, what kind of distance did you have on him? Was he pullin on you at the end? I think the Titan would have a big advantage on the 1/8 mile run with the power/torque curve we have.

Looked like a lot of fun! You definitely finished well. I agree with you about your start reaction time needing pratice. That Civic got a big jump on you but you showed him. I love how the Titans speed is incognito. So what were you doing to launch off the line, what RPMs, did you spin the tires?

At the end I was about 3/4 truck length ahead of him. I was pulling away faster at the end though. Maybe it has to do with the exhaust and intake mods I have. I feel like my top end is better than it used to be before mods. I think with another 1/8 mile I would have had him by 1 1/2 truck lengths. Just a guess though.

That would be the world's most GORGEOUS little girl, my niece, Kayla :D (Okay, I'm a bit prejudiced :) ) She's only 8-years-old, and normally hates the drag strip because it's loud, but when she saw Uncle Josh was going, she flipped out when her Dad left her at home, so his girlfriend had to bring her, LOL :lol: That's her in the background hollerin', "That's my Uncle Josh!! Go Josh, Go!!" She is so cute!! Lemme show her to ya... Gotta show off the kiddos, ya know!! She is spending the weekend at my parents, and called tonight and wanted to make SURE Uncle Josh was coming over with me tomorrow. She wants to ride in his truck, HA!! :) He'll be eatin' that up... He loves her to pieces. Anyways, here she is!! Actually, it's my niece AND nephew Grayson, with me in the middle. (Try not to let the middle person hurt your eyes 8O !!) The quality of the picture is kinda icky, because it's a picture of a picture. We have GOT to get a scanner!!

The best part is the very end of the Hemi video. If you listen close you hear a guy say "Well would you look at that!" Hilarious. I knew you would beat him before you raced him. Great job at representin!!

Just showed my cuz the Hemi video and he is in disbeleif. He is a dodge hemi owner and ive been challenging him for months. Now he is even more scared of the TITAN...GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Good job Josh,I told my partner at work about it, but he still doesnt believe it. Might put the clip on a cd and show him :wink: but he still probably wouldnt believe it :roll: he says that it wasnt a true hemi and the Titan was modded :roll: Why do I get stuck with all the smartass rookies :roll: :roll: :roll:

There are the time slips though. I have seen other Titan owners with better times than mine so its not like I have a super special truck or something. Just an average Titan. Thank goodness though the average Titan can still pound a Hemi in the dirt.

"This was a day before decision" is what makes this so sweet... It's not like you prepared and practiced for this. The fact you beat him you first try probably isn't a fluke. I love the way your tore the little Civic a new one even with a bad start.
