18" magnaflow muffler works great, I've got one.

Good Lord don't do the 18in part # 12258. Get the Magnaflow Search working and do the 22" model. I love the throaty sound out of the 18 but OMG the drone is enough to drive me batguano.... REALLY BAD in the 1400 to 2000 RPM range. Order it from burtmans or another vendor if possible and save some money. I did an impulse buy and with installation paid $175

Could be. I have been told to try either a tip, or to cut it off after the last hanger. Anything to keep me from getting a DWI at this point. I do love the take off sound though.

I was actually offered a set of Magnaflow mufflers to put on mine a couple days ago. didn't know if they would sound good or not.

Should i go true duels or just replace the factory?

Steve-O,

if you are 07 or newer you have duals back to the muffler. I personally prefer the single out factory look. Never did like the way duals out seem to break the hangers and smash around back there.

dont get flowmasters if worried about drone. maybe the 70 series there not too bad. but i would just deck out the exhaust if i were you with nismo!!! very nice setup IMO

Go with a JBA catback system.. you will not be dissapointed.

No, I don't think it is the long bed. My 18" Magnaflow has some pretty nasty drone at certain RPM's. Plus it has that playing cards in bicycle spokes sound. I think I'm going to ping Magnaflow and see what they say about that sound.

stillen if you don't want it to be ridiculously loud and still have no drone.

Gibson may also have the sound you are after

A dual in/ single out Gibson may sound good. I had one on
a Chevy & the sound was great.......but that doesn't
mean that it would sound good on a Titan. Won't know
for sure until someone tries it.

WOW ! thanks for all the responses guys !!!! I think i am going to go with Magnaflow muffler #12580 its the 22" DISO one , and keep the stock pipes ... I have heard if i dont like the drone i can place two resonators from Magnaflow just in front of the muffler and that will elimate most of it . but i havent found part #'s for those yet .. do you guys know about those ???

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe he got excited about making more noise and starting thinking stereo equipment too?

Maybe you can talk him into some subs instead of a muffler. LOL!

Speaking of it being in James' section, I can't hear my Magnaflow anymore since I'm always bumping my system cause of my new box from James

And if you buy sound deadening sheets from him maybe you won't care if there is some drone from the muffler. (I bought some deadening sheets from him but I only installed it on my drivers front door, which worked great!)

Maybe he can get hooked up with them speakers that mount under his bed to make exhausts sounds of a million different cars LoL

It's an 04' All stock from what i can tell so far. haven't been through it yet to check everything out. not sure if the magnaflows he offered are 18" or 22", I'll have to look at them and see. Might be heading to the muffler shop next weekend.

He can probably hook you up with that new RA 12" muffler. You will never hear any drone out of it.
