OK all you East Coast Titan owners,
Here is the latest and greatest on the meet here in Richmond, Va. on Sept. 5th, 2008. We will be meeting around noon at the Richmond East Moose Lodge #1947. The address is 7167 Flag Lane Mechanicsville, Va. 23111. For specific directions, you can go to their website and click on the "information" tab to get directions from all major routes. The website is www.richmond-east-mooselodge-1947.org If anyone is bringing an RV, I can sponsor only one to stay overnight at the lodge facility, so the first person to notify me that they are interested in bringing an RV will be the one that I will sponsor. We will stay at the moose from about noon til around 2:30 or 3:00pm, then we will convoy over to the Richmond International raceway and park there for some tailgating and bar-b-quing, attending all of the pre-race festivities, etc. If you want to watch the race, it is $35 for General Admission and $45 for rserved seating, again tickets can be obtained by going to their website at www.rir.com. This is a NASCAR Nationwide series night race here in Richmond. All the big names will be there i.e. Busch, Burton, Gordon, etc. , etc. You can watch the qualifying for the NASCAR Sprint series race for Saturday night free before Friday nights race with a paid general admission ticket.
I am currently talking to my neighbor about trying to get some free general admission tickets to pass out to a few of you, but not sure if that will happen yet. I will update if that falls into place.
Again, if you will be staying in a hotel, make reservations now as they fill up fast on race weekend. As of yet, I have not had anyone say they will need a hotel, but if I have enough people interested in getting a hotel, I can try to get a group rate discount, but I need to know no as time is running out.
Hope to see everyone there, I think it will be agreat evening at the races, again this is a family event, so feel free to bring the kids if you like.
This meet is being sponsored by Victory Nissan of Mechanicsville who is willing to have two new trucks on display at out parking area, so kudos to them for stepping to the plate and helping out with this meet.
