Here's a concept. Design a decent stock head unit that has all of the RCA outputs and such like an aftermarket headunit would have.

I love the look of the stock head unit and dash set up (except the pause button location), but I really wish up grading the stock were easier than replacing the entire head unit to get better sound quality.

K...I'll step off my soapbox. :pullhair:

You have a good point. Even on the "high end" system offered on the Titan, the features are much less than what you could get with a $300 head unit from somewhere else. Look how much they charge for the RF system. Don't get me wrong though, the Titan's stock system could blow out my Xterra's stock system any day, so perhaps Nissan is getting better in time. How about on the 2006 Titan?

That's what they want, for you to use their products, that's why they make it in such way that you couldn't hook anything aftermarket except theirs.

I just really like the factory head unit look...I have a $400 alpine head unit sitting in my room....but it will distort the look of the dash if installed.

I also agree..It would be pretty sweet if a manf. took a look at aftermarket units and designed the systems to be a little bit more "mod friendly"

sounds like a plan, we need a letter writing campaign. Somebody write a nice letter requesting it, and we could all email it to nissan.
