Best stuff to put on chrome, I just got a new front bumper and figure now is the time to treat it with something that protects it and makes bugs wash off easier. I used to have some fancy german metal polish that supposedly protected chrome. Ive put regular car wax on bumpers too. What are you guys using?

I use Chrome Polish to remove any surface contaminants and then wax over it to put a protective coating on the metal that was just polished. I am sure one of the detailing gurus will chime in. If there's a better way I would like to know about it myself.

Use ClearBra. I have it on my bumper caps.

I use Collinite metal wax. You can get it or something similar at a boating supply shop.
The thing is with polish it has abrasives in it and every time you use it takes a little chrome with it. Trust me I have cleaned chrome down to the copper base plate on a few KC lights in the past. So now I use the metal wax. it has no abrasives in it. It does how ever chemically clean the metal of surface contaminants. Hope that helps
