hahaha are you kidding me? this dude is dumb. so i went to the dealership today to see if they had any cam bolts since im gonna do my lift soon, and i wanted to get some 08 shackles since they are stronger than mine, and i dont want my leaf springs to put a hole in the bed of my truck. "Well we would need a VIN to get those parts so i can do a proper search. besides have you seen the ones from an 08 to know they are better? WOULD I ASK FOR EM IF I DIDNT KNOW? i didnt say that but i was thinking it. so i continued to explain the documented problems to him and explain the issues, and he was like HMPH. Argh he made me mad because he was so rude acting like i was wasting his time. so then i asked him for cam bolts, and he was like ive never heard of those what do they do and where on the truck are they? so explained to him why my truck needed them and he continued, "well we do alignments here all the time and i have never ordered that part before" whatever dude im done with you. i was gonna get the dealership to do my alignment, but i know more about my truck than they do. looks like im going to pep boys! sorry to rant but i get mad thinkin about it

Get the cam bolts online. Cheaper and you don't have to deal with that doofus. You could probably get the shackles too or get the PRG shackles.

yea i found the cam bolts for like 20 bucks, and the 08 shackles are very similar to gregs, just not adjustable as i have been informed

If you get the PRG shackles be sure you look up install reviews as there are some details that are easy to overlook.

Ha! I just remember that I did one of those shackle install writeups (http://www.clubtitan.org/forums/showthread.php?t=48975). I must be getting old. :)

I'll likely be going ON a hunt this year but not hunting. My buddy drives an Armada hunting and he needs someone to back him up for when he gets stuck.

DONT GO TO PEP BOYS!!! I went to pep boys for an alignment and my truck was fine never went nowher but straight.. till after they did my alignment sayin it was way off. But after the alignment i noticed that my truck will go to the right now.. then they say oh I need a camber kit.. well went to the dealer and there is no such thing.. just a damn cam bolt that will absolutly do nothing!

A bad alignment and incompetent advice can come from anywhere. But Pep Boys is not on my list of trusted shops for sure. I always get the print out of before and after results. I'm inclined to believe, sometimes they just don't get the machine hooked up correctly to the rims.

The cam bolts help but only in adjusting the camber. Guys that put on shocks or spacers that raise the front end often need the camber adjusted.

Only 04&05's came with them. From 06 up our T's need them to do complete align which could include camber adj. I've been told to make sure to always have 4 wheel align.

id love to take it somewhere else but other shops are saying 70 bucks plus standard shop rates because lifted trucks take so long to do and they are difficult dealership wants $90 and im still looking around for another shop
