: Rancho 4" Suspension Lift

Hi! Anyone have any info or experience with the Rancho 4" suspension? With the 4" lift, I can still park the truck in the garage, a huge plus! With a 6" lift, I won't have a garage opener anymore, plus a new unplanned sunroof on the truck (a bad thing).
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

None here. I hear it's nicer than most 6" lifts though. Ask PreRunnerGreg. He's the in house lift man. He sells his own lift...but he knows alot about others and isn't afraid to answer questions.

No dont have any info that you could use on the 4" lift but have you maybe thought of going with a air system that way all u have to do is let out some air to lower your truck when you want to park in your garage. all i do know is what a couple of places told me about the Rancho 4" is that it wasnt worth the $$$$ that they charge for it. Myself im going with the Pro Comp 6" with 35x12.50 tires cant wait only 2 or 3 weeks to go anyway let us know what u find out. Peace Out.....

Yeah, I'll keep you guys posted on what I find out. I hadn't thought of an air-system but sounds expensive. :D

PRG, any thoughts? Thanks!

ok, looks like i'm going scrap the idea of the Rancho 4" and i'm leaning more towards the 6" ProComp. i've been talking with my dealer, and looks like they can hook me up with the No Fear Titan accesories, lift kit, banks exhaust, etc.., that will also be covered with the vehicle warranty, which is a great plus. we'll see what happens. -RR

I'll keep you posted on what I find out. My dealership is the Dirito Brothers Nissan in Walnut Creek. If your dealership in Reno has not heard about the No Fear Titan, you should show them the ORA magazine article. There's contact info in the article also I think. :D l8r!

So no info on the Rancho lift? I did some measuring and figuring today and it looks like the 6" lift with 35's will fit in a 7' tall garage. Should leave you about 1" - 2" of room so no problem.

I really want to CST 8" lift, but that is gonna be too big! I will probably end up with the Pro Comp or the FabTech 6" lift.

If no one has told you yet, 35x12.50 tires will rub on the rear portion of your front fenders. With the 6" lift they may rub in front i dont know. Mine barely miss the front parts and i have the 8" CST, any kind of significant bump causes me to rub up front to. just something to consider.

not too conserned...just cut it off...besides, if I go with the 22" wheels, the Nitto tire is actually 34.5" tall.

It wasnt the heighth that made me rub :( it was the width hehe

If I read it right the Pro comp 6" lift will take 35x12.50 tires no problem.
By using the latest in CAD and laser manufacturing technologies Pro Comp has succeeded in producing a suspension kit that enhances the off-road prowess of the Titan. This kit provides ample clearance for 35” x 12.50” tires and maintains the driving quality that makes this truck so appealing. You can read more here http://www.explorerprocomp.com/whatsnew.php

Enjoy Peace Out....

Thanks for the info...how tall is your garage door opening?

yes, please tell e how tall your garage is...or at least the height from the ground to the top of the truck.

If I measured correctly, I have 7.5" for room between the middle/top of the cab to the bottom of the garage door when it is open. That should mean I can get a 6" lift with a 1" tire lift, since the geometry of the lift only will raise the center of the truck 4.5" to 5" (approximatly).

If I could get an overall height of the top of the cab, that would help out a great deal. Plus do you have a picture you can post?

I'm not sure if this will help, but stock, according to Nissan, the height of the Titan is 76.7" (6'3.9")(assuming that is ground to the highest point of the truck). Using the 76.7" claimed height and the 4.5" (substitute 5" and recalc) center raise from a 6" lift plus a 1" tire size increase...that would give us a total height of 82.2" (6'8.5"). For my garage, from the ground to the top, I have a rolling garage door, it's 6'10". So mathmetically, if the numbers are correct, I can squeeze into the garage, barely.

yes, that is what I am saying. plus if you have a regular garage door with an opener, you can adjust the opener to pull the door up higher or lower depending on how much room you might need...theoretically getting the full 84" out of the 7' garage door opening.

Wheels are too small on that package, besides it probably cheaper to do it without the package.

What size RIMs do you have? I have 17s. 17s are probably ideal for offroading with that size tire.

I am going with 20" wheels for sure, or hopefully 22's. That depends on the tire availability!
