I have a 2005 Titan King Cab XE. It came with 17" "steelie" wheels.

I purchased some 20" OEM alloy wheels off of Ebay, and some 20" tires off another website hoping to upgrade to some bigger wheels on my pickup.

When I went to have the tires mounted and balanced on my pickup, the mechanic(not a nissan dealer) told me the hub "ring" (between the lugs) was too large for the 20" alloys? Can somebody verify if its possible that the hub is different on the LE than the XE?

I was in disbelief they didn't fit so I took the 17" wheels off myself and tried to test fit the 20" rims. I didn't have a micrometer to mic the 20" wheel opening versus my hub. The tolerance/difference looked close (within 1/16 to 1/8") just by using a tape measure.

I had the 20" wheels powder coated, so my HOPE is that I just need to clean/rasp off the powdercoating where the 20" wheel meets the hub in order to mount these. That is unless somebody can verify that the hubs just wont work, in which case I will probably be forced to resell them.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Disregard the question in the thread. Turns out it was just the powder coating.
.....Gotta love the mechanic who told me to "return the wheels b/c they won't fit." I should have just had him mount the tires only...dumb@ss.
