I just swapped out my stock rims and tires for new aftermarket stuff, and was trying to figure out how to keep the light from coming on. Here's what I did..... I took all 4 tire pressure sensors out of my old rims, broke the bead of my spare tire, tossed all 4 sensors in the spare (literally floating around inside), and then filled the spare back up. Presto! No stupid light. And if it does come back on, I just have to check the pressure in the spare.
Go ahead say it.... For a first post, that was brilliant!

I have to admit, that is thinking outside the box but I believe it will back-fire on you pretty soon. Those sensors are going to bounce around a bit, then they will end up breaking and then you will be stuck with a bunch of broken sensors and debris floating around in your spare and the stupid light on. Not to mention that fact that your spare is no longer usable at all.
What would have happened if you took a pressure tank and put them in there while wrapped up some and attached to the sides of it so they don't bounce around, then bring it up to pressure and mount it under the bed on a frame rail? This way you don't have a light, your spare is actually functional. I would advise against putting it under your seat thou, a pressure vessel can explode if not properly secured and taken care of.
Side Note: Why not just install them in your new rims?

They would not fit properly in my new rims.
I've been driving for 21 years and have used the spare twice. (Probably need it tomorrow now that I said that). Not too worried about them bouncing around, they have to be pretty sturdy to survive in the wheel in the first place.
I'll let you know if it becomes an issue. Probably crack open the dash and cover the light with electrical tape if I have an issue.
