: Decided to go with PRG!!! Questions
baja220 08-07-2005, 10:32 AM I've been trying to decide which way to go to level my truck...up in the front or down in the back. Since I haven't read even 1 bad thing about PRG, that's the way I'm goin. UP!!!!!! BIGGER TITAN!!!!!! I checked and it'll still fit in my tiny garage. My questions are:
Will I need the back thingy too since I have a boat? The tongue weight is next to nuttin, but I don't want the front end up towin the boat.(thanks Tatt)
I also want to get that sway bar in the near future. Will that matter?
Anything else I need to consider???
float_test 08-07-2005, 12:32 PM Because i have the armada front air dam im going up in front. Ive seen with 2" kit i will still have some rake but looks way better and more clearance for the air dam too. Im undecided though between the 2" 0r the 2.5"

the part where it says to lightly tap.......replace that with "WHACK THE HELL OUT OF".......
and be sure when you do the install.......disconnect the links to the sway bar first thing......the supplied instructions are not too clear about this & in fact, don't mention it until the end of the instruction set............
good idea to read thru & understand completely before doing the install..........
NKTITAN711 08-07-2005, 02:27 PM Good job! I'm excited for you! I think your truck will look amazing with a little lift on it. If it was MY truck, I'd do the rear block as well. The few Titans that I've seen with ONLY the front block look as if the rear was squatting JUST a hair. I really don't like that look personally...and when you add that PHATaZZ boat to the rear...it will really look dumpy!
I like the simplicity of the PRG lift and the TOPGUNZ lift but I feel like I want a bit more....maybe a 3" lift. BUT, I don't want to pay the price of a full lift ($1,100 and UP). SO..I may have to settle. We'll see! Great choice though b/c like you...I have not read the FIRST thing negative about PRG.
TitanosaurusRex 08-07-2005, 02:46 PM Hi,
You might consider the prg front and air bags for the rear, if you tow. I think that would give you the best of lift/level/tongue weight capability.
If not the bags, then do the jettech bars along with 1" rear blocks. That will lift the back end a little, while preloading the overload springs for a firmer ride (less axle-wrap a happy side benefit).

Peluche 08-07-2005, 02:50 PM Now... would the PRG leveling kit allow you to do some wheeling (going off-road)?
kytitan 08-07-2005, 05:49 PM the part where it says to lightly tap.......replace that with "WHACK THE HELL OUT OF".......
:roflmao:
If you are towing then yes get the rear blocks. Without the rear blocks my Titan looks perfectly level. I have yet to install my rear blocks but when I get a hitch to haul a trailer with I will be putting them on.

That was gonna be my next question. I'm not sure I'm gonna tackle this, but I for sure wanna be in the middle of it. Do yal think I can put this on myself???
Note to self.....no lightly tappin......wack the hell out of!!!! LOL
TRex, I already have JT's helper springs.
jitees 08-08-2005, 09:20 AM not hard t do......doesn't require any special tools......might be good to have a second set of hands around when you bolt it back together, but otherwise, yes, do it yourself.........

This is the set-up I will be going with. My last communication with PRG was that he recently got the Firestone airbag kit for his truck. He said that he was going to install it and see if it is a good fit for our trucks. If everything goes well he will be offering the airbags for sale in a few of weeks.
Gumby 08-10-2005, 12:03 AM I just ordered the PRG kit :dance2: myself yesterday and have the same concerns over towing. Anyone else have the airbags?

Greg responded to my questions on the Spot and recommends the 1" rear block in addition to the 2.5" front lift.
