Any comments for a good amp location. Would under front seats have an issue with the floor vent?

maybe I am confused, I get that alot, but do you have a vent under the front seats? I don't think I do. Most people put there amps under the front seats with no problems. If it is small enough there is a perfect spot on the back wall were I put mine. My amp is probably 12x12. I know it is small, but it works if your is similar, check out my thread regarding under captain chair sub, there is a few pics of were the amp is.

Hey. I have vent ways under my front seats. I ALSO installed an amp under the front passenger side seat. I turned the amp so it would lay across the vent, allow air flow to continue, and would allow me access to the adjustments from the rear. I just did this last week inside of about an hour. IT CAN BE DONE!

JaysPlayPen - the CC's have vents under the front seats. At least mine does. I'm not sure if the KC's do or not. May be why you're not seeing any - might have LOTS of room to mount your amp under your passenger seat!

hey skeeter. I do not think the KC have the vents. I had the whole seats out when making my sub boxes, and I did not see any. I have subs under the front seats, and the amp on the back wall. I like it that way. I can vibrate the hell out of the passenger, and they are not expecting it.

Mine is screwed under the rear seat, easy access to cables and controls. Of coarse that would prevent you from putting any underseat console there. Be careful about putting amps next to the vents, remember that when winter comes you'll be turning on the heater. I'd say a perfect place to put amps is behind the rear seats.

I think if you have the bench package you have the vents under both seats like mine. The other package the vents are behind the center console
