OK, well I started off looking at TBSS OEM 20's on ebay, I like them. Then I saw they were a 6x127 bolt pattern, so they won't fit..Then I started looking at their tires. I want a lower profile (not rubber band) tire for my OEM 20, and might as well get something good while I'm at it...Probably wont happen till next year...Anyway, I want to say first...I could get 4 used but in good condition BFGoodrich 20" KDW's (the tire I really really want, but pricey new) for about $250 right now, and I'm extremely pissed I don't have the money for them LOL...Anyway, the OEM 20 tire is 275/60-20 (about 33"), I've decide on 2 different sizes and a few brands any help with these brands and if they are good is appreciated:

285/50-20 (31.2")
Cooper Zeon LTZ
Hancook ST RH06
Toyo Proxes ST
Kuhmo Ecsta STX

and 265/50-20 (30.43)
BFGoodrich KDW's
same Hancook's
Goodyear RS-A

These are the tread patterns I think I like (and some because they are name brand)..Has anyone used any of these? Reviews? Anywhere to find good prices? LOL

Is your truck 2 or 4 wheel drive? Did it have the 17" tire/wheel package on it when you bought it? Why do you want to go with a shorter tire? Gearing? Looks?

Yes, I was hoping they would chime in, and they did LOL.

My truck is 2wd, Yes I had the 17's from the factory, then went to 18's, now OEM 20's. The reason I want a shorter tire is basically what you mentioned, I'm planning on doing either a 1"/2.5" drop or 2"/3" drop on it next year, and I want a better looking tire on there. I think the shorter tire looks better on a lower ride, plus the stock size tire is so big it makes the OEM 20 look smallish. I wouldn't mind a bit more traction/handling, but also the shorter tire is better for the gearing in the 1/4 miles and may save a little rotational weight

If you want to drop down in size take a look at the 275/55R20's. There are a lot of really good tires in this size and the price is very good. This size is still shorter than your stock tires but not so short that you'll have a big tire fender gap even when you lower it.

275/55R20 (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/toggleShowingAllTireProducts.do?fcpr=&counter=1&fclr=&ar=55&fcsr=&fcs=false&rd=20&fcb=&sw=false&cs=275) -about 32" tall.

As for a recommendation... you have Highway/street tires and all terrain tires in your list. If you are wanting an solid highway tire that will be sporty and last, I'd recommend the Hankook RH06 or the Falken STZ04. If you are wanting a mildly aggressive All terrain I'd recommend the Hankook RF10 (50,000 mile warranty on an All terrain). Let us know if we can help.

I can get 4 20" KDW's with 50-60% treadlife left for about $215 right now, its a tough decision LOL

I have the Cooper LTZs, 305/55/20 and love them. I get a lot of compliments on them. They do ride quite a bit different than the stock tires. :thumbsup-big:
