Im done with it !!! I am now saving up for a labotomy for my Titan. She got stuck tonight on the way back from riding dirt bikes and had to be pulled out. Granted it was my fault. But still. My friends were laughing because we were sticking rocks and what not under the rear tires to get traction only the Titan kept spittin em out because theres just to much torque (i know, i know, never enough torque) Anyways, im savin up to trade her in on an identical truck but with 4WD.

Until then i have to listen to my co-workers laugh about me getting stuck and them pulling me out :(

Ummm, I didnt think the 4x2 was an "Offroad" truck. Of course you got stuck...do you have mud terrain tires? How deep was the "hole"? What vehicles do did your friends have and would they have gone where you did, with the same results?

At least your sticking with the Titan.

Yeah i have mud terrain tires, but i have an open differential. My friends were in front of me, they just have a thinner truck so they missed the hole. My front right tire dropped into a rain rut in the road that was just wide enough for the whole tire and about 12" deep. My friend had his old Ford Ranger. It didnt even take much to pull me out, i just barely didnt have enough traction. Ill be getting a 4WD as soon as i can find the one im looking for.

Yeah...I have a 4X2 and it was a big mistake. I've always been a 4X4 man and I decided to do something different. I love my truck...don't get me wrong.

But it's not a 4x4.....oh well....in a few years I'll get one.

Have no shame my fellow TITAN owner, for you are only 2WD. When you get stuck with 4WD they won't laugh. They will cringe, cause it really takes a whole bunch to get a TITAN stuck. Specially with really good tires. I still have the stock shoes on, and the one time I did get stuck it damn near took a loader to get me out. 2 fords, a jeep with a winch and a chevy to grab on to.

OHHhhhh that Titan!! I love that lift BTW... When you get your 4x4 are you swapping the lift or selling the whole 4x2 pckg? Sounds liek you just got "lucky" dropping a front wheel in at just the right(wrong) angle. who'd-a-thunk?

Well, after i have calmed down a bit. I may just keep the Titan as it really wasnt her fault. I was trying not to hurt her and drove into the hole without enough momentum to power out of it. For some reason im having rubbing issues with the front end, so that after about 4" of articulation the front tires start rubbing up against the front bumper and rear portion of the front fenders.

So I know a guy, who knows a guy who knows a guy that works at Glassworks unlimited who is gonna try and get me a price for the Titan Pre-Runner fenders that will give me more tire clearance, or can be cut without me wincing while watching the body shop take a sawzall to OEM sheetmetal. And ill be getting a Tubular front bumper soon for the same reason. After that the lil holes will be nothing to worry about. It was just my fault this time and i should have carried more speed into the obstacle.

Oh, and today has been fun with all the comments from the peanut gallery. Such as "Hey, those are really nice wheels and tires you got for your truck, i really like em. Too bad they didnt help you last night." This coming from my boss so i could only smile and say "yeah well..."

Glad to hear you decided to keep your truck as good as it looks it'd suck to start over again.

Is anyone making an aftermarket locker for the 2WD (or 4WD for that matter) yet?

More 4X4s get stuck because they are less cautious.
And when they get stuck, they really get stuck. 8O

Never understood the whole Pre-Runner thing. It's like the guy who wear's the motorcycle jacket purely for the image but doesn't want to own the motorcycle.
