How do you go about adding a pic to your sig i have been looking at it and cant figure it out. I can add an avatar easily but no idea about the pic.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Load the signature pic into the members gallery here.

View the pic normally as anyone else would when browsing the gallery and note the URL of the picture. You can find the URL by opening the pic, clicking the right mouse button over it, select properties, then copy the URL location of the pic.

Go to edit your signature and use the image coding as follows:
insert the URL here between the bracketed codes

Save your sig and see if that works.

I was able to get a pic on my signature, but would like to upsize it. The one thing I tried made about two pages long and wide. Not good for viewing messages. How do I get it sized right for the sig block?

I'm trying to put a pic in my signature but, I'm not having any luck. Do you need to have an album or gallery setup on this site to achieve this? I used a url(like example given)but, from my HD, no luck!! I tried setting up a gallery/album but, no luck there either. I'm still trying to get a pix 150 x 150 for avatar? Can someone tell me how to do this??

I use software called Photoshop but I am sure there are others here that use free software that can tell you about it.

Thanks.Your URL is incomplete, it needs to be an image file.

I also use photoshop to do mine. You can upload pics for free on CT or if you're lazy (like I am), just upload them to www.imageshack.us (no registration and it's free). Once uploaded (which is simple as going to the site, browsing for the file you want to upload onto the 'net, and hitting "host it"), you get the "direct link to image" and you put that in between an "" and a "" tag. So it would be something like "[im g]http://www.imageshack.us/sig.jpg[/i mg]". You can get pretty creative with it and even have your image be a link to something (check my sig). You just need to mess with the BBCode (which you can click on for help suggestions).

Well, I was following what kytitan posted earlier. "http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine" is what I get when I right-click on the image I want to use, but I see your point. It's not naming the image.

Still, I'm at a loss. The picture is in the Member Gallery. Would someone elaborate further, please?

Hey rule, I tried to copy and paste the link "http://www.clubtitan.org/modules/coppermine" into my browser and it didn't work. Here's what I would do. Pick what picture you want. Then, go to www.imageshack.us. Once you've surfed to imageshack.us, hit the "Browse.." button and select the picture you want off of your computer. Once selected, click "host it." Imageshack will then upload the picture. Once it's done uploading, a page will pop up with lots of information on it. You want to look for "Direct link to image". Copy that link (the one in the box) and paste it into your profile/signature between the img tags. Then just update and you're done.

Thanks all for trying to help. I just thought it would be easier to let the image come from CT. Should have linked the image remotely in the first place. :?

My signature picture was working at first and then I tried to change the picture. From that point, all I get is the text where the picture should be. Even if I try the original picture that worked. I can post the picture in the message with the same link and it works. Just not in my signature. Any ideas???

Ok, I just figured out the problem (with the help of PEACEKEPR). You have to add the picture AFTER you are in the forums page. If you log in and update your info from the Club Titan home page it will not work. Don't know why, but thats the way it is.

Well, I've read all the posts on Sig posting problems but I still can't get to work. Works fine when I post the pic in this box but when I move it down to the sig box ...nothing!! Heres the code if anyone can lend a hand.

Still having issues with the sig pics. Works fine when I just insert code into post and for my avatar, but can't get to work in the Sig section. What is the deal? Very frustrating!!!

I tried your pic in my sig and it worked fine. My only guess is that you've got BBCode turned off in your profile preferences. Check that to make sure it's allowing it.

No, you have to put before the url, and after the url.

Ah!! Gotcha ya. Still kind of new to this stuff. I can damn sure turn a wrench but when it comes to cumputers it starts to go down hill for there. I commend all of you guys for the effort put out to make this site the way it its.

Im havin some problems with my sig pic too now. It was fine before, but now all of a sudden its not working. My sig is ugly and weird code that i can make no sense of. Any suggestions as to how to get the pic, and get rid of those "

after cutting your pic down I put it back in your sig. It was oversized, but now it is leagle. With a pic that big, make sure you put no more then 2 lines of text. I was not going through and editing all that text. You obviously were editing your signature by going to your profile from the home page. You can't do that, you must enter your profile from the FORUMS page to edit, or create.
