Hey guys, I need a 16x8, or a 16x9 rim. After a quick search on the internet, it seems that 16x9's are hard to come by? I need 2 to run slicks with. I was wondering what where some of your real light ones? and then what are some of the cheaper ones? Thanks guys...I'm not really interested in looks, just something light and cheapish

Thanks for the post o-fivecc.

I'm not aware of any manufacturer that builds a 16" wheel that is 9" wide in the 6-139.7 PCD. We do have some great models available in size 16x8 though. Here's the link with all our options.

16x8 Wheel Options (http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/toggleShowingAllWheelProducts.do?fcf=&bp=6-139.7*6-5.5&fcpr=&counter=1&fcst=&fcs=false&wd=16&rw=8&fcb=)

According to my fitment chart, 16" wheels typically do not fit on the 05 XE which means we can not guarantee fitment so please keep that in mind. The lightest wheel out of the list linked above is the MB Gunner 6 weighing in at 23lbs.

I hope this information helps.

yes it does, as soon as I have the time I will check them out. I have ran 16" Chevy rims on the back of the truck before. They were tight, but with a 1/2" wheel spacer I will have more breathing room

They have a few 16X8.5's: http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/findWheelsBySize.do?wd=16&bp=6-139.7*6-5.5&rw=8.5

Hmmm, I will have to make a decision, I just picked up some 28x11.5x16 Hoosier slicks with only a couple runs on them today...Got them for $100. I want to mount them on my Chevy rims for the time being. I know KHA has the exact same size slicks, and he mounted his on the same Chevy rims, but the rims are only like 7" wide, and I am worried about the tires coming off. Currently they are mounted on 8" or 9" wide rims and were on a 600+ HP Ford Harley truck. So I will probably go with the 8 or 8.5 since I know it will work and would be less drag/weight. Thanks everyone....I wonder if the offset matters of wehter it will fit or not
