So I am going to get the 8" 2WD CST lift here in near future (hopefully). I originally wanted to keep the 5 spoke charcoal 18s and just put 35" tires on it, butt seeing as how I could get 15s or 16s with tires for cheeper, I think I will.
Now to the meat of my post; has anyone run smaller tires on the front than the back? like 34-35"s on the front and 35-36"s in the back? I like the factory rake and the lift kinda cancels it. Is there any rubbing issue in the rear? obviously this wouldnt work on a 4x4 without re-gearing the diffs butt does anyone know of another reason why this would be a bad idea (there must be at least one)?
Thanx

I would think it would cause an ABS fault. I wouldn't think having a different diameter front and rear tire setup would be good. Diameter would be the key to this... On my old Trooper, when running the spare, which is just one size off it triggered an ABS fault.

Will 15 or 16" wheels clear our brakes in the front? I'm thinking 16s might but 15s I kinda doubt

I think 17 is the smallest diameter that will fit. Look at the OR wheels...they barely clear the brake calipers.
I have the 8" CST kit. Its nice and if you like the factory rake just add a leaf to the rear spring, or put some spring spacers in. And yes i believe it would cause an ABS fault due to the wheels rotating at different speeds.

I think 15 are to small and the only 16's I heard that fit are the Robby Gordons. I just ordered the 8in lift w/bilstein rear shocks. I also bought fox coilovers from another CT member. For your lift call Greg Vogel (866.55 66 77 9) or order from mossy performance. I am having ORW in El cajon install it next friday $623 total. http://mossyperformance.com/model/struct.php?model_id=32&cat_id=33

I read a titantalk forum where someone mentioned RG 16's. I bought it at AV Nissan from Lilly.

Thanx for your input, I figured different sizes would mess with some control system. And after doing more research, 15s wont fit, neither will 16s, according to dicounttire.com. Now my next question is, does anyone make a 16.5" wheel and if so think they would fit? If so, think I could fit 36" tires on a CST 8" lift? I just want to save some money and was looking at used Hummer H1 tires like these these.
