Family Camping trip towed a 19ft Camper gas sucked however at about 8MPG. Trailer maybe weighed 4k Lbs. Its not every day you get to be the first post in a new forum section!

That seems about normal. Some guys "say" they get better fuel mileage towing but, my experience is about 8-9 mpg. I had one very tough leg on vacation last year when I only got 4 ! We had a 40-50 mph wind. ...RVH

Ours is a 32' weighing close to 8-8500 LBS loaded up and I've gotten from 7 to 10 MPG towing depending on the roads.

I tow a 28 ft warrior toyhauler and I try real hard not to pay attention to my fuel milage. If I do it'll ruin my trip :-)

Ditto on the MPGs. Towing my 30 ft travel trailer, 8K loaded, I get 7-10 depending on terrain. I had the lovely opportunity to pound it to 5 mpg during a massive storm!

I tow an old car on an open trailer, the weight is about 4,000 lb plus about another 500 for tools, parts, luggage, etc. and get about 14, but the aerodynamics are much better. So, its not just the weight, but its the aero too. Glad to hear so many are using their trucks as trucks.

I tow everything from jet skies,, car trailers,, 2+4 horse trailers and a 7000 pound boat for our family vacations... I will get 10-11 on those trips.. However when I am not towing mileages jumps way up to 11-12 daily driving.

I noticed this too. Wind drag makes a BIG difference. I have a car trailer too. With a car on the trailer, I don't even need tow mode. The Titan just blasts along like nothing is back there (easy to forget and change lanes too soon). My travel trailer is a different story though. It is not very aerodynamic. ...RVH

lol...so true! If it's windy enough it can feel like a sail. No idea why they can't make them more aerodynamic like the old Airstream trailers. At least add a rounded front end like the 5th wheels have.
