: Factory Bedliner; can it be repaired ?

I have over 100,000; last week I hauled a pallet of sod (maybe 2000#) and the pallet scuffed and cut about an 18" line in the factory bed liner. I want to at least cosmetically repair it. I would be unlikely to haul any thing like this again.

You can try the spay can bedliner. Some people have had good luck with that. Other wise find a good bedliner place & see if they can do anything.

I'm sure it can be patched, but it will not match perfectly.

i would go to a pro, the spray on bedliner isn't as tough as what they offer.

I would first try the spray can bedliner...Think about it:

Youu said you doubt you'll haul something like this again. Cool. It's a scractch..must be deep to hit the metal. A spray can bedliner will cover it back up and prevent water from reaching the metal. Only time the spray stuff will come off is when objects get INTO the scratch and rip it up..such as rock.

I'd try this option first. After awhile if it comes up because of the type of loads, then get a pro to fix it, or get the roll on stuff by the gallon.

touch up are pretty cheap with the pro bedliners. I think on my Dodge it was $20.00 for a spot on it. A can of liner is right around 7-12.

Didn't know it was that cheap.

I did however use the spray can stuff for other items around the home.

ya most of the places are pretty resonable to touch up a bed liner. I have used the spray can stuff on anything from undercoating a truck to speakerboxes. It holds up well to most things but isn't as durable as the pro stuff in a bed floor.

Yeah I did my cargo basket off the back of my SUV and it looks good..but after a simple camp trip, the base where the totes an water jugs sat it chipped the stuff off. Not as durable for sure, but makes it look good.

My truck has a few missing peices of factory liner so I may have to hit up the local shop an see if they can fix mine before I toss it. $20 may get me an extra $200 because appearnce is everything!
